Christmas in Color 2022 (animated light show)

One of our favorite Christmas traditions each December is to go to Christmas in Color! The Christmas in Color 2022 show is fantastic – with so many amazing lights, decorations, and songs. We also enjoy getting the party pack so that we can have all the fun lights in our car too!

We always dress warm and bring blankets so we can sit in the windows and/or open the back to make sure everyone has a good view of the lights. You can also stand out of the sunroof if you have one. The whole drive takes about 20-30 minutes, depending on how busy it is. On some nights, the lines to get in can be long – so be patient. It is always a good idea to buy your tickets ahead of time. You can get them HERE.

I also love that they are giving back to the community! Every year Christmas in Color makes sure to work with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to help bring joy to children facing critical illnesses. Thanks for helping them make the holidays brighter for everyone this year! A portion of each ticket sale goes to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Christmas in Color 2022

Here are our tips if you haven’t been before:

  • Dress WARM
  • Bring blankets
  • Record all the things (your family, friends, kids, pets, etc) as well as the lights
  • Make or get hot chocolate before or after
  • Take snacks
  • Make sure you know what radio station the music is on and turn it up (lol)
  • Turn your heater on HI to help keep everyone warm
  • You are charged by the vehicle – so you can combine everyone into one car before going in to save money

Your whole family will love the Christmas in Color 2022 light show!

COME EXPERIENCE CHRISTMAS LIKE NEVER BEFORE!

Drive through millions of lights perfectly synchronized to holiday music you’ll hear right through your radio. Drive by giant candy canes, snowmen, arched pathways, and more. Take your time enjoying this lighting extravaganza – we won’t judge you if you join the kids with your face pressed against the window!

One of my favorite things to do at Christmas time is to look at all the lights and decorations. When we lived in Chicago, one of our favorite things to do at Christmas time was to watch the lightning of the tree 🌲 downtown! It was a beautiful sight to behold!!
