We have created a huge list of Christmas activities in Utah for you to look through so you can find some things to do with your family as well. We have divided everything into three sections. CITY CELEBRATIONS

Taking part in the City Celebrations is a great way to experience different Christmas activities in Utah and not have to pay very much. Each of these is packed with fun things to do and most of it is free or very inexpensive. Have you been to more than one? Which of these Christmas activities in Utah is your favorite?

Layton Holiday Lighting Ceremony (Layton, Utah)

The Holiday Lighting Ceremony will be held Monday, November 22, 2021. The lights will turn on at 7:00pm in the Layton Commons Park. The City Holiday light display is open daily from November 22 through December 31. The lights turn on each night from 5:00 – 11:00 pm.


Christmas Village 2021 (Eagle Mountain, Utah)

Eagle Mountain Christmas Village 2021 is on December 4 , 2021 from 5 PM – 9 PM at Cory Wride Park.

Meet Santa and his live reindeer, drop off a letter and get one mailed to you, blacksmith demo, petting zoo, mini pony rides, vendors, food trucks. Most items are free.


Light Parade and Ogden Christmas Village (Ogden, Utah)

Watch the Electric Light Parade that fills Washington Boulevard from 22nd Street to 26th Street. The parade is full of elaborate floats, sensational themes, and fantastic performers. Starts at 5:30 pm on November 27, 2021.

The 2021 Odgen Christmas Village will be November 27, 2021, through January 1, 2022. Christmas Village illuminates Ogden’s downtown area with magnificent displays and holiday lights every year. Spectators find themselves in a dazzling winter wonderland set aglow with Christmas lights and a unique setting of cottages modeled after Santa’s village at the North Pole.

Christmas Village is free for all visitors. Lights are turned on daily from 5 pm until midnight. Parking can be found either on the street or in the Municipal Bldg. parking lot.  (2549 Washington Blvd.) located off of 26th Street.


Santa’s Arrival at Station Park (Farmington Utah)

Join us Friday, November 26 from 9-11AM as Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive via the Colliers International helicopter and then escorted by Young Automotive Group to Santa’s Cottage.  There will be musical entertainment, holiday characters, face painting, balloon artists, vendor booths, and more!   Santa’s Arrival presented by Colliers International and Young Automotive Group.


Clearfield City Tree Lighting & Arts Center Open House (Clearfield, Utah)

Nov 29, 2021 at 06:00 pm – 08:00 pm (Mon) – Kick off the holiday season at our annual tree lighting celebration. Come meet Santa and write him a letter. All letters written at the event will get a personal response! This year’s tree lighting is combined with the opening of our renovated Arts Center. After the tree is lit, visit Santa in the new Arts Center, decorate an ornament, and watch local performers.


Kanab Christmas Light Parade and Festival (Kanab, Utah)

November 27, 2021 6:30 pm – Go and enjoy Donuts and Hot Cocoa, the Tree Lighting, Light Parade, and then the Lantern Launch.


Tree Lighting Ceremony Tree of Life (Draper, Utah)

November 29, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM – Kick-off the holiday season with Draper City’s annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. Arrive early to see Santa and special guests light the 65,000 holiday lights just after 6 pm. Bundle up and share in the Holiday Cheer! Meet Santa, get hot chocolate and cookies, pony rides, and marshmallow roasting. All activities and entertainment are free.


Pond Town Christmas (Salem, Utah)

Pond Town Christmas runs from November 26, 2021 to January 1, 2022.  The hours are from 5:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.  Free to the public.


Christmas in the Canyon Tuacahn Theaters (St. George, Utah)

From NOV 26 – DEC. 23 you can celebrate Christmas at Tuacahn this holiday season! With over 250,000 twinkling lights, a live nativity show, train rides, open fire, and a visit with Santa Claus, you don’t want to miss Tuacahn’s Christmas in the Canyon event! There is no admission charge to visit Tuacahn and enjoy Christmas in the Canyon. Tuacahn’s Cafe will be open for dinner and treats! There are small fees for some of the activities. Open from 6:00 – 9:00 PM.


Downtown Tree Lighting Ceremony (Tooele, Utah)

Join Mayor Winn as she lights the Downtown Tree in Veterans Memorial Park to kick off the holiday season in Tooele City! Monday November 29, 2021 at 6 pm at Veterans Memorial Park.


Holly Days Parade of Lights (Vernal, Utah)

Come participate in the Annual Parade of Lights Celebration.  Rocky Mountain Power is sponsoring the event this year, with huge prizes for the winners.  The parade is Friday, Nov. 26, 2021 at 06:00 pm – 07:00 pm.


Peteeneet Santa Dash and Christmas Lighting (Payson, Utah)

On November 26, 2021 at 5 pm, you can join the Santa Dash and then come back at 6 pm for the Christmas lighting. There will be complimentary hot chocolate and donuts. Bring a non-perishable food item for the local pantry.


Herriman Night of Lights 2021 (Herriman, Utah)

November 29, 2021 at 6 pm. Ring in the season at J. Lynn Crane Park with the annual Night of Lights. We invite Santa and Mrs. Claus, experience musical performances, play games, make crafts, ice skate, and soak in the holiday spirit.


Santa’s Grand Arrival at University Place (Orem, Utah)

A long standing tradition here at University Place, come and welcome Santa Clause as he makes an unforgettable entrance! There will be live entertainment and refreshments served while we all wait for the big guy to land in his helicopter. (event will be on the south-west corner of University Place. In front of Tucano’s Brazilian Grill) 

Takes place on Friday, Nov. 26, 2021 at 09:30 am.


Winter Lights Parade (Spanish Fork, Utah)

Nov 27, 2021, at 07:00 pm – On the Saturday evening after Thanksgiving Main Street in Spanish Fork is lit up with festive floats and wagons as part of the Winter Lights Parade and event sponsored by the Spanish Fork Salem Area Chamber of Commerce. Businesses, families, and other groups participate in the parade each year with the parade attracting entries such as hay wagons, city floats, horse riding clubs, marching bands, and city royalty. The parade ends with a visit from Santa Claus who rides through the city on his sleigh. After the parade, there is a tree-lighting ceremony held at the city building and Santa is available to visit and take pictures with the children.


All is Bright Downtown Lighting Ceremony 2021 (Cedar City, Utah)

November 27 – The ceremony will take place from 5:30 pm – 6:00 pm and Lights on at 6:00 pm all in front of the Cedar City Offices (10 N Main St, Cedar City). Usher in the Christmas season at the 3rd Annual Cedar City Historic Downtown Lighting Ceremony. Join us as we turn on the lights in Historic Downtown with a holiday feast for the senses with music, hot cocoa, and a visit from the Jolly Old Elf himself.


Christmas in Downtown 2021 (Logan, Utah)

November 27, 2021, Christmas In Downtown Logan. Watch Santa’s Arrival Parade on Historic Center Street. Then the Logan Tree Lighting Festival of Lights at the Center Street Plaza. You can see them Unveil Candy Ornaments by the Bluebird Candy Company, and even visit with Santa at the Utah Theatre.


Midway Tree Lighting (Midway, Utah)

Kick off the holiday season at the annual Tree Lighting Celebration at the Midway Town Square. Festivities include holiday entertainment, hot cocoa and Suss cookies, Live reindeer, Santa and Mrs. Claus, old fashioned candy and peanut bags, Tree Lighting ceremony and fireworks, plus bring a canned food item for discounted ice skating at the Midway Ice Skating rink. Lights will turn on at 6:30 pm sharp – dress warm. We hope you will join us for this fun Christmas kick-off celebration.

Santa is coming to West Jordan (West Jordan, Utah)

Santa is coming to West Jordan! Watch him roll past your house in a West Jordan Fire Truck! He’ll be stopping at four local parks to pass out some sweets and treats!- Veterans Memorial Park (8000 S Redwood Rd, near Wild West Jordan Playground)- Grizzly Park (5200 W 7530 S)- Ron Wood Park (5900 W New Bingham Hwy, near the splash pad)- Browns Meadow Park (2490 W 9160 S).


Saratoga Springs Christmas Tree Lighting (Saratoga Springs, Utah)

Monday November 29, 2021 – 6:30 pm – Kick off the Holiday season by joining us for the 13th annual Saratoga Springs Christmas Tree Lighting with Santa, crafts for the kids and musical entertainment. You can also drop off your letter to Santa in his mailbag when you stop by to visit with him. Food Trucks will be there for you to purchase a treat: Kona Ice (hot Chocolate), Clark’s Malasadas and Waffle Love


Tree Lighting & Wreath Festival (Mapleton, Utah)

Mon., November 29 at 6pm – Come enjoy chestnuts roasting on an open fire, carols being sung by a choir, Christmas lights, and welcome Santa Claus. There will be something for everyone at this traditional, festive, community celebration with s’mores, hot chocolate, food trucks, and roasted chestnuts. Kids from one to 92 are invited to write a letter to Santa and deliver it that night to his special mailbox. 


Christmas in Dixie – Christmas Tree Lighting (Washington City, Utah)

11/29/2021 – 6:00 pm – Come join us at 6 pm for the annual tree lighting celebration! There will be free doughnuts and wagon rides to the Covington Home for Santa Visits! Make sure to bring the entire family for this holiday kick-off event!


Christmas Tree Lighting 2021 (Hurricane UT)

11/29/2021 – 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm – Our Christmas Tree lighting festival is coming. Join us in this ONE NIGHT celebration where we will light the City Christmas tree! We will also have Santa, a Live Nativity, beautifully decorated Christmas trees for auction and shopping at the festival market.

2021 Light the Heights: Tree lighting and sing-along (Cottonwood Heights City Hall)

Monday, Nov. 29, from 6 – 7:30 p.m – Join us for a tree lighting and sing-along with Santa at City Hall. You can get dinner from Nana’s Sonoran Hotdogs from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., enjoy free hot chocolate and a musical performance from 6-7 p.m., and watch the tree lighting and sing with Santa at 7 p.m.
