Whether you are new to the Jack Ryan world or elbow deep like me, I think you will enjoy this movie. It is so good. There is a reason it has been on the top 10 list since it came out. You can watch it on Prime Video (free with your Amazon Prime subscription)

Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan: Ghost War Parents Guide
- Nothing
- For a CIA/Spy thriller movie, it has all the action and violence you would expect. Hand-to-hand combat, gun fights, car chases/crashes, explosions, assassinations, executions, etc. It shows blood, neck cuts, dead people, up close gunshots, knife wounds, and more.
- Ass – 5+ uses
- Shit – 26+ uses
- Bit*h (SOB) – 1+ uses
- Hell – 9+ uses
- Damn – 14+ uses
- Bast*rd – 2+ uses
- Fu** – 33+ uses
- Jesus/God (GD, JC, etc) – 40+
- Vaping and smoking are shown throughout
- Drinking/talk about alcohol here and there
- The last 10 minutes are very intense
- Most of the movie isn’t “intense” but a good steady thriller.
I will tell you that YES, there is a ton of language, and some nudity, and a lot of violence. So if those are the things keeping you from watching it, I highly recommend signing up for VidAngel. It does a fantastic job of filtering all the things you don’t want. We have ours set to filter language and nudity. And it works with most titles on Prime (including the Jack Reacher series, which I also love). If you aren’t sure if you will like it or not, you can sign up for a free month of VidAngel through this link.

In this new film, Jack Ryan is reluctantly thrust back into the world of espionage when an international covert mission unravels a deadly conspiracy, forcing him to confront a rogue black-ops unit, and the clock is ticking. Operating in real time with lives on the line and the threat escalating at every turn, Jack reunites with battle-tested CIA operative Mike November (Michael Kelly) and former CIA boss James Greer (Wendell Pierce), their combined experience the only edge they have against an enemy who knows their every move.
Backed by an unlikely new partner – razor-sharp MI6 officer Emma Marlowe (Sienna Miller) – Jack and the team navigate a treacherous web of betrayal, facing a past they thought was long put to rest – making this the most personal, high-stakes mission any of them have ever faced.
