This whole stay at home thing has made it hard for my kids to stay active. We go take our dog for a walk, shoot hoops in our driveway, and they play on the trampoline and swing set, but we needed more. So this week we started doing family workouts at home. These are just YouTube videos that we have found and LOVED!

Some of them aren’t specifically for kids – but my 8-year-old was able to do most of it, even if it wasn’t perfect. So if you have kids younger than 8 you may want to focus on the ones below that have kids in them. Otherwise – you and your family will love these family workouts!

Family Workouts At Home

We have put together a great list of everything from easy to hard with Zumba, Yoga, Kick Boxing, Dancing and so much more. We choose a different one each day.

Some of the things that have helped us are:

  • Have a bottle of water handy for each person
  • Exercise mats are nice (not required, but nice)
  • Make sure you have enough space (move furniture if needed)
  • Don’t eat right before – and have some chocolate milk or other good source of protein for right after the workout

I hope you have as much fun as we have! Let us know what your favorite workout is in the comments below. (or one to add and we can check it out).

I hope this list gets you on your way to a healthier and more fun day. Since we have started doing this in the mornings (around 11) then going on a walk with our dog afterward, my kids have been able to concentrate better and they are happier.
