I have been a mom for a long time. My oldest is almost 13 years old, but for the 9 months I carried her in my tummy I was pretty much sick the whole time, so I count that as part of my “motherhood” years. For going on 14 years now, my life has been primarily focused on my kids and family. Most of the time I don’t care because I love them and want to make sure they are healthy and happy, but sometimes I just need a break.
It is about finding a balance so that I don’t fall apart. It can be especially hard when my kids get sick, especially my youngest because she is very needy. That is why I am grateful for Pfizer Pediatric products like Children’s Advil®, Children’s Dimetapp® and Children’s Robitussin® because they work hard to help my little ones feel better so things can get back on track. This allows me to take care of my other kids and even have some “me time”.
When sick hits the fan, your needs come last. But a mom can dream, right?
This is just a glimpse of what it is like when our kids are sick. Anyone who has had to be around sick children knows what I am talking about. Recently my daughter got sick with a cold and cough. You would have thought it was the end of the world. She wanted to stay home from school and didn’t want to do anything, etc etc etc. Children’s Dimetapp® did a great job of helping relieve her symptoms so that she could get back on track and focus. Little things like helping reduce fevers, relieving cold and cough symptoms and body aches are all so important because then your kids can rest better, perform better and ultimately you get to have a little more time because you don’t have as much to deal with.

Balancing motherhood and “me” time can be tricky. But with the help of Pfizer pediatric products, you can be sure to have a little extra time when your kids get sick.

This is great. I plan specific days in the month for my me time. That way I have scheduled everything accordingly in advance so that I can still get my me time. It’s awesome and always so wonderful! It makes a huge difference!
By watching one of my shows after the kids are in bed
I balance it by making sure to relax and pamper myself when the family is in bed.
i balance by taking help whenever i can get it from my parents or husband.
I actually am able to have me time at work. I work night shift at a psychiatric hospital. Yes sometimes it can get a little overwhelming there, but for the most part I have alot of down time I am thankful for. Its really hard to have me time at home with twin girls, but they usually will play games together just getting along doesn’t last very long. 😂
when my child was little when he nap or slept that is when i would get some me time either by taking a hot bubble bath or catching up on reading
When she goes to bed I exercise to relieve the stress of the day and relax.
Naps always give me balance and refresh me.
When my kids were small I always made time to read something I wanted to read–this included my time in grad school, when most of my reading may have been interesting, but not exactly entertaining!
