I have been a mom for a long time. My oldest is almost 13 years old, but for the 9 months I carried her in my tummy I was pretty much sick the whole time, so I count that as part of my “motherhood” years. For going on 14 years now, my life has been primarily focused on my kids and family. Most of the time I don’t care because I love them and want to make sure they are healthy and happy, but sometimes I just need a break.
It is about finding a balance so that I don’t fall apart. It can be especially hard when my kids get sick, especially my youngest because she is very needy. That is why I am grateful for Pfizer Pediatric products like Children’s Advil®, Children’s Dimetapp® and Children’s Robitussin® because they work hard to help my little ones feel better so things can get back on track. This allows me to take care of my other kids and even have some “me time”.
When sick hits the fan, your needs come last. But a mom can dream, right?
This is just a glimpse of what it is like when our kids are sick. Anyone who has had to be around sick children knows what I am talking about. Recently my daughter got sick with a cold and cough. You would have thought it was the end of the world. She wanted to stay home from school and didn’t want to do anything, etc etc etc. Children’s Dimetapp® did a great job of helping relieve her symptoms so that she could get back on track and focus. Little things like helping reduce fevers, relieving cold and cough symptoms and body aches are all so important because then your kids can rest better, perform better and ultimately you get to have a little more time because you don’t have as much to deal with.

Balancing motherhood and “me” time can be tricky. But with the help of Pfizer pediatric products, you can be sure to have a little extra time when your kids get sick.

I walk to and from work to have time to myself and think 🙂
I’m lucky as my kids are older. Granted it doesn’t mean I don’t end up with the kids at the bathroom door with 20 questions. I take time for a bubble bath when I need me time.
I usually spent time with my kids in the day and evening as they are grown now..I would stay up late for the quiet me time after they went to bed.
I try to get 1 day a month that is all about me and have husband watch the kids
Catching up on my shows at least once a week!
I always make sure I have time to get my nails done.
I schedule a massage now and then
Go for walks on the roads near us.
I think Motherhood and me time are one and the same. I would love to spend all my time with my kids if I could. They are what make me whole.
I use the time she is sleeping to relax and enjoy some alone “me” time!
