I was able to screen Transformers: Rise of the Beasts in order to write this Transformers: Rise of the Beasts parents guide. All opinions are my own.

I am a long-time fan of the Transformer movies. From the first Transformers movie to Bumblebee I have been involved. And now we get a new treat – Transformers: Rise of the Beasts! It takes place AFTER Bumblebee and BEFORE Transformers and the other 4 films that follow. So if you feel like you have to watch them all first before you see this one, you don’t. Really – to understand and know what is going on, all you will need to watch before heading out is the movie Bumblebee. If you haven’t seen that one, or don’t feel like watching it, you will also be fine.

I went into the movie with some reservations. I wasn’t sure what to expect. But I will tell you, I really enjoyed it. It is a great addition to the Transformers movies and I can’t wait to see it again. The acting is great – the storyline is awesome. I liked this bit of story that filled in a gap between Bumblebee and the first Transformers and I would love to see them continue to make more stories.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts opens in theaters on June 9, 2023

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Parents Guide

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of sci-fi action and violence, and language. It runs for 2hr 7m.

A few seconds after the credits come on, there is a cut scene end credit for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. When the main credits start rolling, feel free to head out.

Sex & Nudity –  0/5 – No nudity or sexuality. One comment of “cahonies muy grande”.

Violence & Gore – 3/5 – A lot of fighting between humans, robots, and each other. Shows slow-motion shots with “blood/robot juice” flying,

Profanity – 2/5 – Several uses of shit, hell, damn, ass, and a few uses of God. One cut-off exclamation of mother f—–.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking – 0/5 – none that are noticeable, if any.

Frightening & Intense Scenes – 2/5 – Had several jump scares. Some of the robots/creatures looked creepy. Some of the characters die.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is a really great movie that the family can enjoy. I would say 10+ for this because of the violence and some of the more intense parts. Go see it in theaters this weekend!
