We just went and visited the new Sandbox VR in Murray, Utah. I can’t even begin to tell you how much fun we had! From the minute we walked in the door we felt comfortable and welcome. Nerm did a fantastic job taking care of my family and me. We laughed and had fun while we were getting set up. My kids play VR regularly, but I haven’t ever tried it. I had heard about Sandbox VR and was excited that they brought a location to Utah!
My daughter’s 16th birthday is soon, so we went there for her party. I loved the extra attention they focused on her to make sure it was special. For the experience overall, I had watched a couple of videos about it, so I thought I knew what to expect, but really it was so much better than anything I had imagined! The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. They had my whole group up and running (all equipment, etc) within minutes, and it was way fun to interact with each other and the “VR” environment.
In case you are wondering what I am even talking about, lol, Sandbox VR is a virtual reality platform where they can hook up to 6 people together to play immersively in one game. We have sensors on our ankles and wrists as well as on our headsets and “weapons” so it really tracks all your movements. You wear a backpack (not heavy) and it vibrates when you are hit or get attacked so it really feels like you are in the movement. They also have other elements like fans, etc that help place you right in the moment.
