Photo Mobile Mother’s Day Gift

Mother’s Day is coming up, and so I have been having fun with my Polaroid Snap Touch Digital Camera making simple photo gifts (like this Photo Mobile) for my mother and mother-in-law, and myself ;). I love photos because they capture perfect moments that I can always treasure of my kids who are growing way to fast.

The fun thing about the Polaroid Snap Touch is that I can take the pictures and then print them out right away. This makes making my Mother’s Day gifts that much easier to put together like this Photo Mobile. I made it with a wire hanger, wire, beads and wooden letters. I used mini clothespins to pin the Polaroid photos onto the wire.

This looks really pretty when you are done. Just take the metal hanger and cut 6 different pieces of wire (all different lengths). One by one, wrap them around something like the stick of a wooden spoon or a bubble wand. (whatever you have on hand 😉 ). I also pulled the wire a little after doing this to kind of stretch it out and give each piece a different look.

You will then attach one end of the wire to the hanger. Do this by wrapping it around it a few times and pinching it with the needlenose pliers. On the other end, you will put a large glass bead and then twist the wire a little to hold the bead on.

I used a hot glue gun to attach the letters over the top of where I attached each piece of wire. Once they were glued on, I turned it over and secured them with more glue. Be sure to cover the hanger, etc. You can also use different colors of wire to make flowers or other things and attach those to the hanger. Use twine, flowers, ribbon or whatever to decorate the top.

After you have taken your photos and printed them out on the Polaroid Snap Touch, take the photos and attach them using the clothespins. This only took about an hour to make (tops) and I think it turned out so good! It is going to be fun to keep adding notes and photos to it. It is hung up in my office right above my desk and I love looking at it!
