One of my most favorite treats is Mint Oreos. They have been for as long as I can remember – and “Grasshopper” anything is at the top of my love list for desserts and treats. I got a great deal on Mint Oreos at Smith’s and so I wanted to do something fun. We made Mint Oreo and White Chocolate Pie and we also made Grasshoppers Cups (recipe coming next week). I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as my family does.

Mint Oreo and White Chocolate Pie

Since I was short on time, I bought a pre-made chocolate graham cracker crust – but these are very easy to make as well. I used a vanilla pudding mix and took the Oreos and ran them through my Electric Chopper to turn them into crumbs.

Ingredients

  • 1 box of Vanilla Pudding Mix (prepare as directed on the box for PIE)
  • 1 Graham Cracker Crust
  • 10-12 mint Oreos
  • White Chocolate Chips
  • Chocolate Fudge or Bakers Chocolate
  • Whip Cream
  • Caramel Topping

Instructions

  • Make or Use a Chocolate Graham cracker crust
  • Take the Vanilla Pudding mix and make it as directed on the box for PIE
  • Add 5-6 mint Oreos to a chopper (food processor) and blend until crumbs
  • Add this mixture to your pudding mix
  • Add 1/4-1/2 cup of white chocolate chips to the pudding mix and mix well
  • Pour Pudding Mix into Graham Cracker Crust and spread evenly
  • (I waited to add the following to each individual serving – but if you want to serve it at a party or have it ready – then you can add the following in any order you like)
  • Use Chocolate Fudge topping or melted Baker’s chocolate and drizzle over top of Oreo pie
  • Drizzle Caramel topping over top
  • Add whip cream and then top with more Oreo cookie crumbs and white chocolate chips.
  • I also took whole Mint Oreos and dipped one end in Chocolate and then rolled them in Oreo sprinkles as an “embellishment” for the pie when I served it.

This pie is easy to make and fun to do with the kids. It will be an instant hit at any event! I would love to know what you think 🙂
