We received a copy for review. This post, about How to watch Thunderbolts* at home, and all opinions are my own.
I wasn’t able to watch Thunderbolts* in theaters, so I was excited when we got the digital code! We watched it as a family, and it made for a great family movie night. I appreciated that the movie was fresh and was packed with humor and fun. While it skirts on playful and silly, there is a great undertone of emotions, and it will bring some seriousness to the movie throughout. I enjoyed the cast. They each are coming from other shows/movies, except Robert Reynolds (Lewis Pullman), and he brings a lot to this group. I am really looking forward to seeing more from this group. I also have to point out that while his role wasn’t huge, I enjoyed Wendell Pierce, who plays Congressman Gary. He is a favorite from the Jack Ryan series, so it was fun to see his role in this.
As far as content, I need to go through and make a parents guide for Thunderbolts, but it does have language (use of God, Jesus, etc), mostly from Captain America, but it’s not throughout. It is also violent, as you would expect from a Marvel superhero movie. There is some more mature themes (them talking about things that happened when they were younger, etc) that might be harder for younger viewers to watch.
AND don’t forget! There are TWO after-movie credit scenes. One is mid-credit and another long one at the end. Don’t miss either of these.
So here it is! How to watch Thunderbolts* at home:
You can buy it from Fandango at Home, Apple TV, and Amazon Prime Video on Digital
You can also preorder the 4K UHD, Blu-ray, or DVD from Amazon, Walmart or anywhere else movies are sold.
I will update with a streaming date on Disney+ as soon as I have one!
