We received a copy for review and a copy for a Father of the Bride Giveaway. All opinions are my own.

I am excited to offer a giveaway for Father of the Bride (2022). I love the original movie and was excited to see an updated version. Andy Garcia and Gloria Estefan are so good together in this movie (not surprising). All of the things that life throws at you, showcase that life isn’t perfect and everyone is going through stuff. The battles and trials that you have to fight and overcome and the surprising way things work out. It’s a great funny twist on a classic and I loved it all!

Get it now on digital or on DVD.

Billy (Andy Garcia) and Ingrid (Gloria Estefan) are surprised when their eldest daughter Sofia (Adria Arjona) announces a new fiancé, Adan (Diego Boneta), and plans for a quick wedding. The news keeps Billy and Ingrid from announcing that they’re planning to divorce… but they hold off for the benefit of the family.

Billy’s initial opposition to wedding cools, so long as his opinions carry the most weight. Soon, Adan’s headstrong father (Pedro Damián) arrives with his own traditions and family pride in tow. With the fathers vying to control the festivities, it becomes a game of one-upmanship—cultures clash, generations take sides and competing traditions collide. All relationships are tested as the roller coaster ride of wedding planning races toward the altar.

One funny wedding story that I know is they ran out of food before anyone even got to the reception so we had to buy a ton of pizzas.

Sort of funny…all these years looking back on it (but not so much at the time). I was a bridesmaid. My friend had a lovely wedding in an old church in New England. August. Hot & humid. No air conditioning in the church. And we bridesmaids were all holding lit lanterns in front of us through the whole ceremony. The groomsmen later told us they felt bad for us, as we stood there with sweat dripping down our faces just about passing out!
