Fall Activities in Utah updated 9-25-22
I love getting out and enjoying the community and what our beautiful state has to offer. My kids are always looking forward to the fun things we plan. This fall is even more exciting now that things are opening back up and we can go out and enjoy them again. Here is a big list of fall activities in Utah that you can do with your family and/or friends! The first half is places around Utah you can go to enjoy the fall season. Others are places to go and have fun with a corn maze, pumpkin patch, etc.

Take a Hayride through a haunted forest. Go on a haunted river cruise. Get dressed up and go to the Witchfest! Get lost in one or all of the corn mazes! There is just so much to do!

Festival Transylvania at Millcreek Gardens (Millcreek, Utah)

Do a fun and clever story-walk through various scenes of Transylvania: A hysterical fortune-teller, a botched laboratory experiment. Even an appearance by the headless horseman! Guests can expect to spend 40-60 minutes at the event. Treats will be available for purchase at the Spooky Hollow Munchery at the end of the event. Print out the free coloring page and kids can color it and take it in to get a $1 credit to the Munchery during the visit.

This October, plants from around the world are visiting the Garden to see the legendary Pollinators of Nefertiti exhibit on loan from the Museum of Fantastical Antiquities. But before their grand unveiling in the Herb Garden, the Golden Pollinators are discovered missing! Have no fear! Sherlock Chauncey, the world’s most famous gnome detective, is on the case. Among the suspects are a few mystical plant creatures. Was it Bagheera Bat Flower in the Enchanted Forest? Dulce Datura in the Poisonous Apothecary? Or one of the other mysterious plant guests?
Join Sherlock Chauncey as you investigate the crime scene, gather clues, uncover which plant is the thief, and maybe even rescue the Golden Pollinators. If you visit historic Gardner Village mid-September through October, you’re in for a real treat! And maybe a few tricks as well as the witches come out to play during the annual WitchFest in West Jordan, Utah.
The menace is intentional each year as crews begin working on WitchFest, Gardner Village’s 45-day celebration of everything witch, complete with witch displays and a scavenger hunt to find them. WitchFest is Utah’s premier Halloween festival.

Witchstock is an annual event created around seasonal festivities including Witches Tea, Zombie Crawl and Monster Bash. This event highlights local nonprofits, businesses, artists, music, and performance space while highlighting Ogden’s Historic 25th Street.
The Ogden Downtown Alliance will be hosting the annual Witchstock Festival at the Ogden City Amphitheater on October 24th. In 2014, Witchstock partnered with the Zombie Crawl to combine two of Ogden’s favorite Halloween events into one great evening downtown! This year, we’re doing it again with an expanded Witchstock program and a Zombie Crawl that promises to be bigger and better than ever before.
