Disney’s Dumbo

We received a copy of Disney’s Dumbo for review. All opinions are my own.

Just a few days ago, Disney’s Dumbo movie came out on DVD, Digital and Blu-ray! The Dumbo live action movie is different from the cartoon but follows the same story. I have to tell you that I actually like the live-action version better.

Colin Farrell, who plays Holt Farrier, gives another winning performance. The chemistry he has with his kids and Eva Green, who plays aerialist Colette Marchant, makes the movie that much better. The CGI for Dumbo is also incredible.

Parental Warnings

Fair warning. There are some intense parts that may be a little emotional for younger kids. My 7-year-old had a hard time with how rude the crowd was to the baby elephant. As well as them taking the mom away. The fires at the end can also be a little scary, but the ending is beautiful and she finished the movie with a big smile.

Now that she has seen it and knows the storyline, she processes it ok. I don’t remember any language or nudity or innuendos.

I personally really loved the movie and so did the rest of my family. I am so glad we have this in our Disney movie collection.
