Doing an Easter craft with my kids is always fun. We love getting all the things out and making something out of nothing. We recently stocked up on a bunch of great Easter craft items from Oriental Trading and have had so much fun getting everything put together. We got everything we needed to make this Wood stick Easter basket Easter craft!
Today we are sharing a way fun wood stick Easter basket Easter craft that your kids will have so much fun making. You don’t need much to put these together and it will keep them busy for a while. It is also a great decoration to hang on your wall when they are done.
To make your Wood Stick Easter Basket you will need:
- large popsicle sticks
- wood markers
- stickers
- ribbon
- Easter grass
- Mini adhesive wooden eggs
- glue (hot glue works best)
I just laid everything out on the table and let them put their easter basket’s how they wanted. The wood markers are amazing and worked great! I am looking forward to using them for many more projects.
My littles just made a basic square and then glued sticks across it and colored it. Turned out great. My 12-year-old wanted to make a more 3-D looking basket so she took the time to glue the sticks in a half-circle and then added a bottom. It looks so good! Both versions are fun. You can even pull stencils out for them to use to trace designs on the baskets.
Overall the project probably took about 30-45 minutes and they were able to do pretty much all of it on their own. I would advise help for kids under 8 with the hot glue gun or if they don’t know how to use it.
Have so much fun making these with your kids! Be sure to have them write their name and date on the back.
