Play Like a Girl

Sports are important to our family. My husband and I both played since before we could walk and growing up we were encouraged and supported by our parents to work hard to do our best. Being a mom of three girls (and one boy) I have found that I have passed my love and passion for sports onto my kids. We enroll them in soccer, basketball, and baseball. We also frequently take them swimming. They also love to be part of dance. There are so many aspects of sports that help to make my girls better and teach them life long values.

One of the things that I love most about sports is that they teach my girls about being dedicated. This is something that they will need for the rest of their lives. No matter what they do they are going to have to learn to dedicate themselves, word hard, and be their best. Playing sports empowers them. It gives them confidence and an understanding of teamwork as well as a desire to be their personal best. I also feel like it helps them learn about their talents and abilities.

Play Like a Girl

My girls work hard and do their best and I am proud of their athletic achievements.  They have coordination and skills that they have developed and can play as good as the boys at most of what they do. Sports have an empowering impact in the lives of girls.

What a fantastic video! I absolutely loved it, and am all about girls being just as interested and capable of doing what the boys do. Love it!
