Trolls Band Together Parents Guide

I was able to screen Trolls Band Together in order to write this Trolls Band Together Parents Guide. All opinions are my own.

My whole family loves the first Trolls movie! It is packed with great songs and a fun storyline. I was a little on the fence with the second movie, but my kids liked it (mostly). So I was a little hesitant about a third Trolls movie – but of course, my kids were super excited, so we went to the screening. I am happy to report that overall, the movie is actually really good. There are a lot of laughs, relatable drama (between family), and new great songs. You will hear more “boy band” group names than you thought even existed, lol, and N’SYNC makes a fun appearance at the end.

Overall your family will enjoy the Trolls Band Together movie now playing in theaters! It is great for all ages.

Trolls Band Together is rated PG-13 for some mild rude and suggestive humor. It runs for 1hr 32m.

There are some fun animated credits and then the regular credits start rolling and you can head out. No mid or end-credit scenes for Trolls Band Together.

Sex & Nudity – 1/5 – It (quickly) shows a bare troll bum as they put on clothes. There is a close-up of the thunder drawers (one of the troll’s underwear/pants costumes) and another of a troll’s abs. There are some innuendos and talk between Spruce and his wife, and the brothers. A couple of comments like “I can’t remember all my suitors” and some other innuendos and talk between Bridget and the King. A comment about a bottom and a bum smack from one character to another.

Violence & Gore – 1/5 – Some fighting between characters. A couple of them almost get their heads chopped off via an amusement park ride. Might be a little intense for VERY young viewers.

Profanity – 1/5 – Bleeped OMG and stated OMG

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking – 0/5 – Shows some people in a “bar” having drinks.

Frightening & Intense Scenes – (2/5) – Some of the characters are trapped or captured. It shows them dying – and it could be intense for some younger viewers. The two singers are kinda mean and treat other people badly – great intro of how to and how not to treat people.

Trolls Band Together is a great third film for this fun, peppy, group of Trolls. I am looking forward to another one and how they bring it all together and how it continues.
