I watched Project: Hail Mary and wrote this Project: Hail Mary Parents Guide. All opinions are my own.

I took my family to see Project: Hail Mary when it first came out in theaters. We all loved the movie. None of us has read the book, but I know a lot of people who have and love both the movie and the book. So the book is on my summer reading list! It’s not very often you find a movie that you like to watch that has a book that you also love – so I am excited. You can currently purchase Project: Hail Mary through VOD (Video on Demand) from Fandango at Home, Prime Video, Apple TV, etc. It should be streaming on Amazon Prime later this summer.

Project: Hail Mary is still showing in some theaters and is available to own on digital

Project: Hail Mary is rated PG-13 for some thematic material and suggestive references. It runs for 2hr 36m.

There is no end-credit scene for Project: Hail Mary.

Sex & Nudity –  1/5

  • A couple of off-the-wall comments, not meant to be crude, but were crude. (Fist my bump) referring to a fist bump, and then the way Rocky eats.

Violence & Gore – 1/5

  • It shows dead astronauts
  • There is some destruction and space violence

Profanity – 1/5

  • Hell – 1+ use
  • Jesus/God (GD, JC, etc) – 6+ uses

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking – 1/5

  • Dr. Grace drinks vodka in space
  • There is smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes – 2/5

  • Several of the space scenes are intense and have high emotions
  • There are a couple of scenes on Earth – one where there is a big explosion, and another where they have to subdue someone – that get intense.

Project: Hail Mary is an amazing family movie that you will want to watch over and over! It is THAT GOOD!
