I am working with Disney, Marvel, and Dreamworks as part of this event and they provided the trip in exchange for my coverage. Regardless, all opinions are 100% my own.

Thor: Treasures of Asgard Exhibit at Disneyland + my day at the park

Disneyland is fabulous any time of year – but it is truly amazing to witness the holiday season there. With lights and decorations everywhere you will not only have a great time but feel like you are at Santa’s for your visit. The attractions seem endless and the parks are huge making it fun and an exciting adventure.

We were there for half of the day and we were able to ride a lot of rides, eat lunch and even hang out with Thor! We started out on the Indiana Jones Ride. It was a lot of fun. I wasn’t sure what to expect but we were in Jeeps and it was and moved through the tunnels quickly. I admit it – I screamed a few times (or maybe more 😉 ).

After Indiana Jones, we headed over to the Haunted Mansion. They had it all decked out in “The Nightmare Before Christmas” and it was AWESOME!!! This is one ride that your kids will love just for the decorations and store part. It was really fabulous!

There is just so much to see and do! To add to all of that Disneyland has opened a new exhibit called Thor: Treasures of Asgard . My and 24 of my friends were the first to experience this exhibit the day it opened. (It was part of my Thor: The Dark World red carpet experience)

I loved walking into Innoventions in Tomorrowland. I was amazing. There was a Iron Man exhibit that got my heart going and then walking over to the Thor exhibit had it jumping all over.

They have several display cases with objects from Asgard that you will just reel over. They are amazing and life size as well as have all of the information about what they are, who used them and how.

Once inside the artifact room there are even more amazing objects to look at.

After a few minutes the adventure starts are you are able to experience a journey to Asgard as you travel across the Bifrost to meet with Thor! This was pretty amazing. I mean – I didn’t expect a living and breathing Thor to be standing in front of me – *swoon*.

We walked into the throne room and we were able to talk to Thor and get a picture with him.

I loved how authentic everything is.  From the way he was dressed and talked to the look and feel of the room it was if we had truly been transported to another world. What an amazing experience.

The Disneyland Resort just gets merrier, starting Nov. 12, 2013, with all our traditional Holiday favorites plus these new additions:

worldOfColor

“World of Color – Winter Dreams“ premieres Nov. 15. This is an all-new, holidays version of the very popular “World of Color” nighttime, water spectacular at Disney California Adventure Park.

vivaNavidad

“Disney ¡Viva Navidad!” – This new celebration, inspired by Latino culture and celebrations, features music, food, dancing and an exciting Street Party multiple times a day. It begins Nov. 15 at Disney California Adventure. This precedes our Jan. 3-6 Dia De Los Reyes celebration for Three Kings Day.

Jingle Cruise –  The Jungle Cruise skippers decorate for the Holidays and add some fun new jokes to their riverboat tour, at Disneyland Park.

You will also notice the too cute bag I have with me. I love this bag. It is totally amazing – and can withstand everything I swear. You can get your very own Retro Metro Fold-Over tote from Thirty One. (A special thanks to Brittney, an independent consultant for Thirty-One for providing me with this bag for my trip. It was a life saver)

I also want to thank Disneyland for the amazing press kit I received! I loved it 😉

Loved this post! It makes me want to go to Disneyland since we haven’t been in a couple of years! My daughter has already seen the new Thor twice since it came out, lol!

That movie is so good! I already want to go see it again. Disneyland is great. I hadn’t been there for a long time.
