I watched a pre-screening of The Sheep Detectives to write this The Sheep Detectives Parents Guide. All opinions are my own.

We were able to attend a screening of The Sheep Detectives, and I’m honestly not sure what I was expecting — but I ended up enjoying it far more than I anticipated. The movie is packed with humor, heart, and plenty of emotional ups and downs that keep you invested from beginning to end.

Hugh Jackman is in the film, but not nearly as much as the marketing might suggest. Surprisingly, that doesn’t take anything away from the experience. The story stands strong on its own, and the rest of the cast brings so much personality that his limited screen time doesn’t make or break the movie.

One of the things I appreciated most is how clean and family‑friendly it is. While there are a few moments you may want to keep an eye on with younger viewers, the overall tone is warm, safe, and accessible. It’s the kind of adventure that feels fun for kids while still offering enough charm and emotion for older viewers to enjoy right alongside them.

Overall, The Sheep Detectives is a delightful, feel‑good film that I think families will genuinely love experiencing together.
