It has been just over two years now since I lost my oldest sister to cancer. That was one of the hardest times of my life. She was diagnosed with undifferentiated cancer in July of 2014 and passed away in November of 2014. Even though she is gone, her memory lives on, and we do whatever we can to raise awareness for the funding or research to find a cure for cancer. Cancer is a terrible disease that wreaks havoc on lives without consideration or care. We have a chance to help beat cancer by raising money for research. The Coaches vs. Cancer is a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches. It is actually a lot of fun and you get to help a great cause at the same time.

All you have to do is visit 3PointChallenge.org and make a pledge. During the month of February, we have the chance to be part of the 3-point-challenge. You pledge to donate for every 3-point shot your team makes. You can see the leaderboard and who has raised the most money. Pair up against your rival schools and let the fun (and fundraising) begin. There are already 160+ campaigns that have committed their support for involvement. This is a great chance to donate to a great cause and help your favorite team be crowned the Coaches vs. Cancer 3-Point College Champion.

Cancer has affected my life in many different ways. I also lost a grandfather to cancer, as well as several other extended family members. I have also had a lot of family members that have beaten cancer. My husband lost his sister to cancer when she was 5 – he was only 9 years old at the time. Let’s help everyone who needs it – young or old – by donating, through the 3-point-challenge, to cancer research. Get your family and friends involved and let’s see who’s team is the champion.

PLEDGE NOW!

I try to help fund cancer when I can. I’ve lost several family members to it and I had my own scare a little while back.

Cancer is such a terrible disease and it pains me to see people go through it. I think this is a great way to help fund cancer research and hopefully, we’ll find a cure in the near future. It has taken too many good people, young and old.

This is a great campaign. I am glad there are people who still cares.

I’ve lost my dad, two aunts, a great aunt to cancer. It is so devastating for a family to go through this, to see a family member suffer a horrible disease. I am happy to know about this campaign and I am hoping it would be a success. I will help spread the word to get more people to join and raise funds.

I am so sorry you lost your sister and so many other to cancer. It is such a terrible thing to have to face. This is a great campaign to help others, and when I give back for things like this, it makes me feel like I am a little less helpless in the face of difficult challenges. A great way to help those with cancer.

Cancer sucks. It takes way too many of our loved ones away. This is a great way to raise money. I’ll definitely be checking it out.

This is such a great cause to support! I’ve also lost loved ones to cancer so I know how hard it is to move forward.

I’m so sorry for your loss! I’m so happy that the Coaches and the Teams are pairing up to help us beat the horrible disease once and for all! What a great way to give back this year!!!!
