Minecraft Sheep Valentine’s Box

My son had to make a Valentine’s box for his class party and he really wanted a Minecraft creeper. Unfortunately, all I had on hand was white wrapping paper and a couple of amazon.com boxes, so we got creative and he came up with something else Minecraft that was white…a sheep! I wasn’t sure how it would turn out, but I am thrilled with the results so I wanted to share our Minecraft Sheep Valentine’s Box with you here.

We found a box that was the perfect size, and then used another box and cut it up for the legs, and face, and then used a baggie box for the “head” block. Overall it took a little over an hour to put together and he was so excited to take it to school this morning. I know this is probably too late to help you this year, but keep it in mind for next year – you can pin it to save it for later. This is also fun to make for Minecraft birthday parties (or even turn into a pinata with a little modifying.

I took the flaps off of one box and used those for the legs (the longer ones) and then used the smaller flaps as the wraps that go around the top of the legs. This was interesting to try and bend the legs into a square and I wish I would have used a 2×2 board – it would have made it so much easier and even, haha. I used a sharpie (or rather my son did) to color the bottom of the feet black and the eyes. Little sister got to do the pink nose.

For the hole in the top, I folded the box like I was going to tape it and then used a sharp knife (or you can use scissors) to cut a rectangle. You can see the approximate size and placement in the picture below.

I used clear packing tape for pretty much everything but had some scotch tape on hand for smaller things. I wish I had taken more pictures, but we were just trying to get it done since it was the night before – but I hope this helps inspire you to make your own Minecraft Sheep Valentine’s Box (or party box).

Let me know if you have any questions – and I will do my best to answer them. Happy Crafting!

My daughter likes Minecraft. I’m sure she would love to make this!
