Metro Retro Fold Over Bag by Thirty-One Review

Metro Retro Fold Over Bag by Thirty-One Review

I love movies, and I love the actors and actresses, the whole cinematic experience is really amazing and unique. I never imagined that I would be able to be part of a red carpet experience – but I was able to go to Los Angeles for a weekend and while I was there I was able to go to TWO red carpet premieres. The first was for The Delivery Man and the other was Thor: The Dark World.

For this trip I needed a bag that I could take with me everywhere that would accommodate all of the different things I was doing. I have a friend that is a consultant for Thirty-One. Her name is Brittney and she is amazing to work with and can help you find the perfect bag to fit your needs! I asked her what she thought and she recommended the Retro-Metro Fold Over Bag. She picked the perfect bag for me!

I have had many bags in my lifetime, but I will tell you honestly that this is the single best bag I have owned that allows me to use it for anything I need. It is big enough for me to put my laptop in along with my hoard of other junk, or I can use it for just my basics (still a hoard of junk) and the top of the bag folds over to protect what is inside.

This everyday tote fits folders and notebooks in the main compartment, and the interior zipper pocket is sized just right to store your tablet. Two exterior pockets are perfect for your iPod, phone, camera, water bottle and more!

I used this bag for EVERYTHING on my trip to LA and I have used it every day since then too. Just to give you an idea of how well built this bag is, I used it as my carry on bag. Being as it was my first trip on a plane in over 10 years, and my first trip ever to a red carpet event, I was unsure of what I needed to bring so I over packed. Also, I didn’t want to put any valuables in my suitcase that I checked, so I had everything in my LowePro Camera bag and my Thirty-One Retro Metro Fold Over bag. It worked out great on the way there – I have room and it was great. I didn’t plan on all the stuff I would have to bring back :/

It turns out that the Retro-Metro can hold a heck of a lot and still not even break a sweat. The bag was so heavy that I could not lift it above my shoulders (and I am not a pansy, lol) I check the stitching really well and did a once over on the bag once I got home and it all still looks brand new!

This is a high quality bag! Thirty-one sells so many styles and colors and they are at a great price! For the quality of bag you are getting you will be surprised. They also sell several other bags and accessories. Thirty-One is the perfect place to get bags and accessories that you want to last and be high quality, as well as fashionable and packed with features. Check out the new 2014 Spring Collection here:

I received this bag for free in order to do this review. This did not affect my opinions and they are 100% my own. I only recommend products and services that I believe will be beneficial to my readers.

I’ve always wanted to try a bag from this company, but they cost so much, it never seemed worth it to me, but this bag is cute, i like this style of bags.

How perfect, it is even already customized for me!! I love that bag and the fact that it can be personalized is great for when you are at busy places like amusement parks you can easily recognize your item.

The size of this bag looks perfect! I have entirely too much stuff to carry around that it won’t all fit in my purse. This bag would be perfect.

Thank you for showing me this bag! With 5 kids I am always in need of a big bag but have trouble finding one that doesn’t cost a fortune or look like a mummy bag – This would be perfect!

Is there a way to adjust the strap length on it? I’m pretty short so I’m wondering if it would hang down too low on me.

I LOVE that bag!! I’m a huge thirty one fan I just bought myself the happy dots large tote. My bag is not only my purse, but doubles as a diaper bag so I need them a bit bigger.

I’m def. checking out the Metro fold bag I think it would be perfect for spring 🙂

An American friend of mine runs a 31 business and sent me the cutest bag this year! I love them, although I’m glad they aren’t over here, I’d have a million of them by now, so useful!

The print is cute, I love the color! That would be a good bag for me to take to work instead of having two bags for personal stuff and another to keep my lunch in. I love that the bag is sturdy and can hold a lot of things. It might make a good school bag too. Thanks for sharing!
