Honeywell True HEPA Compact Tower Review

Honeywell True HEPA Compact Tower Review

Dealing with Asthma is nothing new to me, my mother has had it all of my life and then some, but then a couple of months ago my daughter had an asthma attack that landed her in the PICU for three days. We weren’t even aware that she had asthma and so it has been a life changing event for us. We went through training and saw several Doctors, and one thing that was prominent through it all was to get her room as dust free as possible.  We got a new mattress, a mattress cover, pillow cover among other things, but the one thing that has truly helped the most is the Honeywell True HEPA Compact Tower.

The Honeywell True HEPA Compact Tower has turned the dusty and allergen filled air in her room into clean ‘friendly’ air for her so that it doesn’t bother her asthma. We have noticed over the last few months that we have been using the air purifier, a huge difference in her breathing levels and overall health. Before we got it she had a hard time at night and we noticed that her breathing was not 100%. Now she sleeps better because the air she is breathing doesn’t agitate her asthma.

The filter is easy to get to and change when needed. It has the kinds of filters right on the machine so you don’t have to search through paperwork or surf the internet to find out what kind of filter you need. I love that!

The controls are very easy and straight forward. There is Off, Germ Filter, General Clean Filter, and Allergen Filter. There are also check filter and check pre-filter lights. The on/off switch is lite so you can see what setting it is on in the dark. This is nice for my daughter.

The machine itself is a bit noisy, but it works great, and I like the noise because it acts almost as a “white noise” when she is sleeping. We mostly run it at night, but when she is in her room playing we run it also. We don’t leave it on all the time.

You can see how the Honeywell True HEPA Compact Tower stacks up against other filters. It works to help purify the air against Smoke, Pollen, Dust, Pet Dander, Mold Spores, Germs, Odors, and VOCs. It works in rooms up to 80 square feet. It also uses a  pre-filter to capture large particles, reduce odors, and capture allergens.

The Honeywell HPA-050 True HEPA Compact Tower Allergen Remover offers all of the benefits of True HEPA in an attractive compact tower design.

We need a new air purifier. The one that we currently have seems not working properly anymore and to think that we burn wood, it is a must.

I wish we had one of these. We burn wood and it causes such bad allergies and breathing issues here.
