I have always wanted a pressure cooker, but had some safety concerns about using one. I remember my grandmother used one often, and use to warn me about how dangerous they could be. I confident that they are safer now, than those used back in the day, and would love to learn to use one for cooking and canning. Thanks for the great review.

Cook more first, can later. I would love a pressure cooker, I’ve been reading about using one to cook beans and other items quickly and Fagor brand is rates one of the best! I also might tackle canning for the first time with farmer’s market summer produce. We recently have adopted a vegetarian lifestyle, any tool that would make my life easier would be wonderful!

I’ll be canning the things I grow in my own garden for the first time. We usually give vegetables away fearing they will spoil before we can eat them.
