Fagor Duo Pressure Cooker/Canner Review

I don’t know if there is anything I have enjoyed using more than my Fagor Duo Pressure Cooker over the past few weeks! Cooking is something that I greatly enjoy. Unfortunately with four kids and a very busy schedule, it makes it hard for us to always have a healthy dinner because cooking things takes time. I have found myself with little or no time and having to get dinner on the table. Up until a few weeks ago, this was a big deal. Now. I can have a delicious healthy meal on the table in minutes. I have a Fagor Duo Pressure cooker and it is simply amazing.

Having a roast and steamed veggies for dinner is as easy as putting everything in the pressure cooker with some water or broth and cooking it for 20-30 minutes. We did a spiral ham in 30 minutes and it tasted as good as the one we did in the crockpot OVERNIGHT the month before! I am seriously so excited about my Fagor pressure cooker.

The awesome thing about this Fagor Duo Pressure Cooker is that it is also a pressure canner. That means I have been able to canning with this same awesome pot that has allowed me to get yummy dinners on the table in minutes. So now I can take advantage of hot sales and build up my food storage by canning our own fruits and veggies. Homemade sales is one I am very excited to try with ingredients from our garden next summer.

I LOVE this pressure cooker! It has been used a lot since we got it and I don’t know how we went almost 10 years of marriage without a pressure cooker! It saves so much time and does so many different things, I just really love it!

Here are a couple of the recipes that we posted so far that you can try out:

Overall, I am really excited about this Fagor Duo Pressure cooker/canner. Fagor is an excellent brand and it has been very durable. The pot is very heavy duty and dishwasher safe. It is a 10 quart 18/10 stainless steel. We always just wash the lid by hand because its not usually all that dirty. It is really easy to use. The nice thing about it, is that it works on all domestic cooking surfaces: gas, electric, ceramic & induction.

The canning kit comes with

  • Home Canning Cookbook with recipes
  • Canning Rack
  • Stainless Steel Funnel
  • Stainless Steel Ladle
  • Jar Lifter
  • Jar Wrench
  • Bubble Freer
  • Magnetic Lid Lifter

It also comes with

  • Instructional DVD
  • User’s Manual
  • Pressure Cooking Booklet with Recipes

Have you used the Fagor Duo Pressure Cooker/Canner ? Let us know what you thought!

(I was given a Fagor Duo Pressure Cooker / Canner in exchange for this review. This did not affect my opinions and all thoughts are 100% my own)

I have always wanted a pressure cooker, but had some safety concerns about using one. I remember my grandmother used one often, and use to warn me about how dangerous they could be. I confident that they are safer now, than those used back in the day, and would love to learn to use one for cooking and canning. Thanks for the great review.

I would love to have a pressure cooker, cooking beans, whole grains and other items in just a few minutes would be wonderful. As a new vegetarian, I tend to buy what is easy – canned beans are not too expensive but cooking my own would be very cheap! I have read other reviews on pressure cooker brands, Fagor is the one brand that is always at the top of the list.
