This summer, a prehistoric adventure comes to life at the Ashton Gardens when Escape to Dinosaur Island takes over. Wander through the misty Dinosaur Island, where animatronic dinosaurs of all shapes and sizes lurk in the vegetation. Hear the roars of 27 different dinos, cross paths with gentle giants, and even navigate through a fight between a T-Rex and a Triceratops.

With programs, activities, exclusive dino tours, and more planned throughout the summer, this thrilling expedition will captivate all ages. Can you escape from Dinosaur Island?

Escape to Dinosaur Island at Thanksgiving Point

Dinosaur Island is Thanksgiving Point’s main summer event and will be in the Ashton Gardens from May 28 to August 27. The 27 animatronic dinosaurs (produced by Dino Don, Inc) will be placed throughout the Gardens.

Open Monday through Saturday from 9 am to 8 pm. Tickets on-sale now! Become a Member at Thanksgiving Point to reserve free tickets to Dinosaur Island.

About Ashton Gardens

As the natural heart of Thanksgiving Point, the Ashton Gardens feature 50 acres of stately gardens, grand lawns, and the largest manmade waterfall in America. The gardens are organized like rooms, with trees, shrubs, and grasses serving as living barriers between the 17 gardens. Each space provides opportunities to reflect and rejuvenate in the wonders of the natural world.

Enjoy a bite to eat at the Trellis Café, take home botanical beauties from the Garden Path Greenhouse, or register for one of our free Guided Garden Walks for an immersive experience that engages all of your senses.

We have loved having our membership to Thanksgiving Point. We have been able to go to so many fun things like the Butterfly Biosphere themed activity nights. Farm Country special events like Las Posadas and Baby Animal Days. The Scarecrow Festival, Luminaria, Tulip Festival, and more at Ashton Gardens. Harry Potter birthday party at the Curiosity Museum. The special events at the Museum of Ancient Life are also so fun!

If you don’t have a membership to Thanksgiving Point, now is a great time to get one. You can take your kids to most of the events for free. Visit Ashton Gardens, Butterfly Biosphere, Farm Country, Museum of Ancient Life, and the Museum of Natural Curiosity as often as you would like. This is a great way to spend any day of the week, especially as a family!
