We recently had my daughter’s 10th birthday party and what she wanted was a Duck Tape Party. We were able to pull together some fun Duck Tape Crafts and had a great time! Thanks to Duck Tape, we had almost 20 different designs for the kids to choose from and it made for a lot of fun. We had 10 kids gathered around our table each reaching for different rolls of Duck Tape®. We decided to help them make purses and it was a hit.
It didn’t take long for up to unwrap all of the different fun and amazing designs and colors of Duck Tape and get them lined up. We were so excited with the selection that we had, and the girls shared in that joy. I was really surprised at the choices of designs that the girls chose. The Gummy Bears and the Ducks were very popular, as were the printed designs. Honestly, every design and color got used over and over.
We took a piece of cardstock, a folded it in half. We taped the “inside” first. Each girl did this a little differently. They all turned out super cute. Once the inside was done, they had the option of adding a pocket (that we had made ahead of time). Some of them added it on the inside, wanted it on the outside. We used the Fiskars® Duck® Edition Scissors and they were AMAZING! You can read more about them here.
Once they finished the inside we flipped the paper and did the same thing on the other side too make the outside of the purse. After both sides were covered, we took and “sealed” the top and bottom. You will fold it in half and then do the sides. At this point you can be done, or you can add a strap. Some of the girls made straps and others didn’t. Both ways were cute.
We took the purse and taped along the edges to make it into a bag. Each bag was turning out fabulously. I was so excited. We wanted to make Duck Tape flower pens to go in the purse, and cover a mini notebook with Duck Tape to match their bags, but we ran out of time.
There are so many fun and amazing Duck Tape crafts you can make. I wanted to share a few others I found while I was looking around for ideas.
We had so much fun making our Duck Tape Bag and look forward to making these other fun Duck Tape Crafts with the tape we still have. There are so many possibilities and with all of the fun and creative designs and colors of Duck Tape you will never run out of ideas!
Here are our favorites that we used for this party:

I was wondering why duct tape had started coming in all different colors and prints. This completely makes sense and I totally love some of these crafts. The wreath is perfect timing and being made from duct tape it’s sure to hold up to the wind, cold, snow the season brings! Bookmarked this post. Thanks.
