When you think of having a baby, and everything it entails, one of the first things that comes to mind are baby diapers. They are generally expensive and babies and toddlers use a lot of them. I have tried alternative methods like cloth, but I just wasn’t able to handle scrubbing them clean every day. We used many different kinds of disposables and most of them worked pretty good, but some were way more expensive than others. With my “budget” ingrained brain, I had to search for the best deal, and in doing so found Parent’s Choice Diapers at Wal-Mart.
While they were considerably cheaper (saving you an average of $240 PER year), I wanted to make sure that they would still perform the same way as the other brands. I took the Parent’s Choice Diaper and put it side by side but another leading brand diaper and did a water test. I poured one cup of water at a time into each diaper to see where the “leaking” point would be. I am sure that on an active baby and depending on the fit of the diaper, they would not hold as much, but with this test I had them laid out on the counter with paper towels beneath each one. I started with the Parent’s Choice, then went to the other brand pouring 1 cup of water at a time. After 2 cups in each diaper I checked underneath them and didn’t find any “wetness” on the paper towel. This impressed me. I did another cup in each one – making it 3 and was still impressed that both diapers were “holding” it in. I decided to push them further, and added one more cup of water to each. The Parent’s Choice diaper absorbed the water faster, but they both held it in. I was very impressed. Parent’s Choice is every bit as absorbent and secure as the leading brand I tested it against.
We also had a fun time making an Disney Frozen Olaf Diaper Cake. While you would not think about using a larger size of diaper for a diaper cake – I think this would be such a fun gift for my kids to receive as toddlers – something cute and unique, and practical for the mom. It took some time to create – but now that I have the basic layout done – I could remake it in about 30 minutes. We used rolled and folded diapers for the bottom and the feet – and then used diapers that were folded the long way and tied together for the rest of him. We just free hand cut out the mouth, eyes, buttons and nose, and used real twigs from our tree for the hair and hands. While I know its not perfect – I think it turned out really great. My kids LOVE it!
This Disney Frozen Olaf Diaper Cake is a great way to share Parent’s Choice with my friends and family. They are affordable diapers that have increased absorbency (as you can see in the photos above – they stood up to the test) and you can buy many more fun things for your baby with the average $240/year in #BabyDiapersSavings that other parents have.
You can print out a $1.50/1 Parent’s Choice Coupon so you can save even more. These are such a great deal already – and when you add in the coupon – you just won’t find a better deal. You can see the list of Walmart stores that carry the new and improved Parent’s Choice Diapers. 3 out of 4 moms agree that Parent’s Choice diapers are the same or better that their current baby diaper brand.
