I love decorating for Easter. I have been trying to make more of my own decorations this year, like this Farmhouse Easter Garland. Today I am sharing a step-by-step tutorial on how to make a Burlap Canvas Farmhouse Easter Banner. This is really simple, but looks beautiful and adds a lot of style to your Easter decor.
To make your Burlap Canvas Farmhouse Easter Banner you will need:
- Burlap Canvas Banner (I got at Oriental Trading)
- Bunny Stencil (I got at Walmart)
- Chalk Paint (I got at Walmart)
- Paint Brushes
- Yarn Pom-Pom (I got at Oriental Trading)
- Hot glue gun
- Rub-on words or stickers (I got at Oriental Trading)
First, you will want to put your banner on a piece of cardboard or heavy paper because the paint will leak through the canvas.
Then you will place the stencil and hold it down section by section until you have the outline of the bunny done.
Then you will take the stencil off and set it aside and very carefully finish filling in the rest of the bunny with a good layer of paint. Make sure you smooth out any lumps or bubbles of paint.
When you are done painting the bunny, you will want to lift it from the paper/cardboard and then set it back down so it can dry. This should prevent it from sticking to anything.
Once the paint is dry, you will take stickers or rub-on letters and add a fun saying or word to your sign. I used the egg decal stickers from Oriental Trading and they worked perfectly!
When you are finished, find a great place to hang it up and show it off. I love the giant grapevine balls that I got from Oriental Trading as well as the silver bunny! They add the perfect finishing touches.
Pin this image for later if you are not ready to make it yet! It is so easy and looks amazing!
