March brings with it two of my favorite things – Basketball and enjoying delicious food with my family. I am excited to share with you these ideas for the best food for a basketball watching party. My family LOVES basketball. I grew up playing it (as did my family before me for as long as I can remember). Now that my kids are old enough to play, I coach their teams. It is a lot of fun and I enjoy coaching almost as much as playing. Along with both of those, I have always loved watching basketball games, especially college. And so, we watch as many as we can.

Best food for a Basketball Watching Party with José Olé
If you love watching sports, you know that there always has to be food during the game. Our favorite go-to is José Olé Taquitos. They have some great flavors, but our favorites are the José Olé Taquitos – Chicken and Cheese and the José Olé Taquitos – Beef. Not only do they taste beefier, cheesier and crunchier, but it is fun to make a variety of dipping sauces to go with them. This is by far my kids’ favorite night of the week when we make these and watch a game. I also like to setup two different “stations” for food. One in the kitchen and one in the living room so everyone can enjoy – no matter what they are doing.

To make it even more fun, we got this basketball party kit and made the dips, drank soda, and had cheering wars for our favorite teams playing. It was a great night filled with not only great memories but great food.

Dipping Sauces
As a busy mom, I appreciate how easy it was to put together this simple spread so that we could have delicious food to eat while we relaxed. Be sure to put these José Olé Taquitos on your shopping list. Everyone loves them. Oh, and don’t forget to get (or make) some epic dipping sauces as well. Here is what we made to go with our José Olé Taquitos:
- Sriracha Mayo (just mix sriracha sauce with mayo to the desired spiciness)
- Jalapeño ranch dip (get or make ranch dip, dice up a couple of jalapenos, and mix)
- White Queso dip (I love to just buy this out of convenience, but you can make your own)
- Salsa/sour cream mixed dip (made a quick homemade salsa and then add sour cream and mix)
What are some of your favorite sauce ideas?

Basketball Printables
If you want to make it even better, you can print out these basketball coasters and use them with your sodas! They also make great decorations. CLICK HERE TO GET THE BASKETBALL COASTERS PDF FILE.

I hope you are feeling inspired and loving all these ideas! It doesn’t take long to put it all together and have a fun night watching basketball with family and friends. It is even better when you have rivals in the house together. My kids were even getting into with the taquitos, and we had a #TeamChicken and #TeamBeef argument going on, haha.
We want you to try how amazing these José Olé taquitos are for your next basketball watching party!
