5 stay-at-home date night ideas

I love going on dates with my husband. Even though we have been married for almost 20 years, we still go on regular dates. Sometimes we aren’t able to go out, so we stay home and enjoy each other. I wanted to share these stay-at-home date night ideas with you so you could plan a fun night in for you and your significant other. They are unique and fun and different.

5 stay-at-home date night ideas

1. Have an airgun dart tournament

I love finding gifts that are not only useful but fun. I recently. partnered with Pyramyd Air to try out their Western package! It comes with the John Wayne Colt CO2 Revolver and Venturi Darts & Dartboard! We had never had an airgun before, so it was a new experience for us. We go shooting all the time with our 0.22 guns, so we had a good idea of how it would all work. We got it all set up and loaded the darts, and then took turns shooting at the dartboard.

It was so much fun! We are both so competitive and that made it even better. If you are looking for something outside the box to do either with your family, spouse, or just for fun, you will love the Western package from Pyramyd Air.

2. Escape Room Game in a Box

I love having game nights, but there is even more fun when it’s a puzzle. You can pick any number of games to play if puzzles aren’t your thing (card games, Blokus, monopoly, and so many others) but an escape room is fun and challenging. End the night with a favorite dessert!

3. Go camping in your backyard

I love to go camping, but we always have our kids with us (not a bad thing). It is fun and romantic to go camping on your own as well – so have a campout in your backyard if you can’t find time to head out somewhere. Just set up a tent, throw down some pads (or a mattress lol) and some sleeping bags, and get ready for a fun night. Read a book together, play cards, and watch something on your phone together. You can also roast hot dogs and smores, play music, or look at the star. There are so many fun things you could do!

4. Paint night with a charcuterie board

I love painting and creating something new. Having a paint night (you can find a lot of step-by-step tutorials on YouTube for free) and a charcuterie board with sparkling cider or soda is so much fun. You get to talk, eat, and have something fun to do that will give you great memories and a new painting for your office 🙂

5. Plan a themed dinner

Themed dinners can be as simple or elaborate as you want. Make Mexican food and play mariachi music in the background. You can make Italian food and listen to Italian music. Dress up if you want. Learn (or do) a dance from that country. Watch a movie based in that country. Have some decorations similar to what you would find there. Make sure you work together to set everything up and cook the meal. That’s part of the fun.

I hope this has given you some fun stay-at-home date night ideas!
