LEGOLAND hosted us for a night at the new Beach Retreat Resort. All opinions are my own.

10 reasons we love the LEGOLAND Beach Retreat Resort in Florida

We just got back from an almost three-week vacation to the Orlando, Florida area. The very first place we drove to when we arrived in Florida was LEGOLAND. We took my kids to LEGOLAND California a few years ago, and they LOVED it, so I knew that we had to visit LEGOLAND Florida while we were there. We arrived early to the LEGOLAND Beach Retreat Resort and even though they didn’t have a room ready, they were able to pre-register us so that when our room was ready, we could just pick up the keys and go to our room. They also offered us access to the pool as well as the fun LEGO display while we were waiting. It wasn’t even an hour and our room was ready. We took our bags to the room, got changed and headed over to the pool to spend some time soaking up the sun.

The pool was super fun. There are floating LEGO bricks everywhere that you can actually build with and there is a more shallow part with a 0 depth entry and a deeper end, which are separated by a rope. There are also life jackets to use and a huge sand covered area where you can go play in the sand, play beach volleyball, or just relax. There are little shower/sprayers around this area to rinse off before you go back to the pool. There is also a play ground for kids and a fire pit area. I am enjoyed stretching out in one of the comfortable lounge chairs and watching my kids have a great time in the water playing. They also provide pool towels that you can pick up inside the pool area, and turn in before you head back to your room. We were there in early August and it was nice and warm even in the evening so the kids didn’t freeze when they got out of the water. That was a nice change from Utah – where you freeze even the summer (haha).

The resort is huge with big bungalows. There are two rooms per bungalow – so we actually had two rooms because we have a larger family. In each bungalow, you have a nice big king bed, a big bathroom and a room that has bunk beds with twin beds and a trundle bed. You can comfortably sleep 5 in each room. There is also a tv and complimentary drinks for you and your kids. The bungalows are set up in a circle with a playground in the middle. There are several sections like this, each with their own playground/area in the middle. You can enter the pool from the front (by the office) or the back (by the playground).

In the morning before you head out, a nice BIG delicious buffet breakfast is offered complimentary as part of your visit. We got up and got dressed, ate breakfast, and then went back and packed up the room and headed to our car. You check out (in your vehicle) as you are leaving at the main gate. We also learned that you get FREE priority parking at LEGOLAND Park when you stay at the Beach Retreat Resort. This is good the day of your stay, or the day you check out. Just show your room key, and tell them your room when you are going in and they will tell you where to go.

At the Beach Retreat Resort, there is free on-site parking, but you do have to walk a little to get to most of the bungalows as there is the main parking lot and then the property- no parking really close to most of them – but it wasn’t a big deal and there are sidewalks everywhere. It took a couple of minutes tops to walk from the parking lot to the bungalow we stayed in – almost faster than having to take an elevator and walking through hallways to find your room – lol. There is also free wi-fi and it worked great.

10 reasons we love the LEGOLAND Beach Retreat Resort in Florida

Here are 10 reasons we love the LEGOLAND Beach Retreat Resort in Florida:

  1. Building with LEGOS in the swimming pool.
  2. Building with LEGOS in the lobby by the lighthouse.
  3. The theme, decor, and style of the resort
  4. The LEGO figures everywhere (great photo opportunities)
  5. Being able to eat a complimentary delicious all you can buffet breakfast in the morning
  6. Free parking at LEGOLAND the day we went because we stayed at the Beach Retreat Resort
  7. Free parking and free wi-fi at the Beach Retreat Resort

I am about 45 minutes away from Legoland and I’ve never been. I think it is time to “borrow” a child for a weekend and enjoy this place

I feel like being lost in a Lego world. Lego houses, Lego rooms, Lego resort,… and even a Lego swimming pool. This is really a heaven of Lego. I hope that in the future I will go to this special Florida’s beach.

    Thanks for sharing!

I went to Legoland in California and stayed at the themed hotel there. It was so cool! But the bungalow is even cooler! Florida has all the things. I wish I lived on the east coast so I could go there.

This looks like an amazing place to take kids on a vacation. Which kid doesn’t like lego? I love how well they themed the cottages and how open and spread out it is. Lovely pool too and your video captured the accommodations really well. Have to keep this in mind for the future.
