What I learned today: Do we really need MORE Free Toothpaste?

Walgreens has Colgate Total Toothpaste on sale this week! With the RR and the Coupon is it FREE + I would make $0.25 for everyone I buy….BUT, is it worth it…do I need MORE Free Toothpaste?

White the deal/frugal half of me screams that YES!!! That is a great deal and I need to drive over there now and get a few, my logical side that sees several already on my shelf and the lack of need tells me to pass up on this deal.

For the past several weeks I have actually stopped coupon shopping for the most part, just groceries and some things that we have our list, but I have used all my RR at Walgreens and have very little left at Rite Aid and I am taking that money that I would normally spend couponing (even thought it is not a lot, it is still money spent) and we put that towards our holiday fund. We have a great stockpile built up from the rest of the year so for two month we live off it. Then in January we start up again and I will be back into my normal couponing ways!

I just wanted to share this with you because I think it is important for everyone to know that just because you coupon, it doesn’t mean that you are tied to it ball and chain. You don’t have to spend every waking minute of every day searching for deals, running to the store and organizing your coupons! Just do what you can do and save where you can save. Every little bit helps.

Make sure you try and set limits for yourself. Give yourself a budget. Only shop for the items you really need and not just because something is on sale. Even if it is only $0.50 per item, if you are getting 6 of them that is still $3 and it adds up quickly. Be a smart shopper as well as a frugal one!

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT COUPON SHOPPING?
DO YOU ALWAYS GO SHOPPING OR PICK AND CHOOSE WHAT YOU BUY?
