The Wild Robot movie is raw and real. The storyline keeps you engaged from the first second it starts, and you really dont’ want it to end. There is great character development, storyline, depth, meaning, and all the feels.
I love the theme of the movie – that one “person” can truly make a difference – and to just be who you are. This can speak to everyone in any part of their lives, male or female. It is SO important to be ourselves. But we also want to feel loved and accepted – so we do that by being who we are and that is seen, even if just by one other.
The animation is spot on – I really enjoyed the way they did the whole movie. From the music to the characters, it was way better than I expected. I appreciate that it is uplifting and clean.
The Wild Robot Parents Guide
A possum is eaten by a predator off screen, sound effects are a little wild. Shellfish are crawling around and then thrown into hot water to boil and then eaten.
Other things to note – There are a couple of times the robot is learning and so she says things like “Humor is based on misfortune” and things similar to that, so you might have to talk to your kids about those things to make sure they understand that that is not the right way.
