St. George KOA Campground is the perfect destination for families!

Thank you to the St. George KOA Campground/RV On The Go and Thousand Trails for hosting us. All opinions are my own.

This past weekend we spent our fall break at the St. George KOA Campground in St. George. The drive there is simply beautiful and as you enter the resort you are greeted with the same stunning red cliff mountains and views that make you feel like you are in a desert paradise.

The Cabin

We stayed in a deluxe cabin and I couldn’t have been happier with our entire visit there. The cabin is a great size, accommodating our family of 6 easily. There are two bedrooms with full beds, and a hide-a-bed couch in the living room that comfortably sleeps two more.

The kitchen boasts a fridge and freezer, full stove/oven, microwave, toaster, and all of the supplies/utensils you need to have a great stay. We brought snacks, food, drinks, and everything else for the weekend and there was plenty of cupboard space to house it all.

The bathroom is a good size with a full shower/tub. There is a clothesline to hang wet clothes on over the tub, and plenty of towels. They also provide travel size shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and a couple small bars of soap.

While we were there, it was my sons birthday. We had a lot of fun celebrating with pizza, drinks and playing Tetris on our Nintendo 64. The cabin is very comfortable and made it easy for us to have a fun time. We got pizza from Walmart and just cooked it at the cabin. They gave us those cool cups when we checked in and the kids really enjoyed using them.

We also wanted to try out the grill, so we took stuff for a BBQ and everything turned out delicious, of course. They kids enjoyed sitting out on the porch to eat and relax, and we all had a great time!

The Playground

The playground is fun, especially for younger kids. My two littles had a great time playing on the airplane and on the swings. There is a bench for parents to sit on. Also close to here are the dumpsters so you can keep your cabin or camp area clean.

The Pool

We also spent a lot of time playing in the pool. There are comfortable loungers for parents if you don’t want to swim, and tables with big umbrellas to provide shade if you want it. There are bathrooms with private showers right off the pool area. The St. George KOA Campground does a great job providing you with everything you need to have a comfortable visit. It is like a home away from home!

The kids enjoyed swimming at night too. It was a little chilly, but the water is warm and so they had a great time. I had a hoodie on and was comfortable. The only thing I wish they had provided were towels for swmming in our cabin. We were worried about getting the white ones dirty. Despite that, the kids still had a great time.

Other Amenities

We also took stuff for s’mores, so we headed over to S’mores Alley, and used their gas fireplace to make smores and enjoy the stars. There are two benches with tables, and then room on two sides for chairs if you want to take them.

You can also play mini-golf, pickleball, games, watch TV and so much more! Also in this main building is the laundry facilities. Up by the pool is a shuffleboard area, but that is temporarily closed.

Book your stay now

Overall we couldn’t have been more pleased with our visit. The location is also great. We were able to experience many of the sites in the area without a long drive. I will be sharing that next week so be sure to check that out as well. You can book your stay at the St. George KOA Campground for your next visit to southern Utah.

If you are not in the Utah area, you can check out all of the great places to stay on RVOnTheGo.com! Hope you have as much fun as we did!
