We went to a screening for Space Jam thanks to Warner Bros. All opinions are my own.

It all started 25 years ago with Michael Jordan. The Space Jam legacy continues with LeBron James in Space Jam: A New Legacy. The movie is good for all ages. We are sharing our parent’s guide below. The movie is about LeBron and his family, his struggles to connect with his son, and how hard he pushes them to be like him.

Over the course of the movie, he comes to realize that there is more than one way (his way) to do things and is able to let others “do themselves” and be who they are. It is a great message for parents and kids alike. There are so many Warner Bros. easter eggs, characters, and more that everyone who watches movies will enjoy. I played basketball for most of my life so I very much enjoyed watching this movie. I also got to see a fun side of LeBron and got to know the Warner Bros “verse” better.

Here is our Space Jam: A New Legacy parents guide

Language 1/10
1 use of Hell, 1 Oh my G**, and maybe 1 other minor swear.

Drugs/Alcohol
Bugs Bunny gets “drunk” on carrot juice for about 8 seconds. Granny drinks a couple of martinis at halftime. Most kids probably will miss it.

Frightening Scenes
Most of the movie is in cartoon form. Normal Looney Toons smashes and crashes. The players on the Goon Squad are kinda creepy and may scare younger kids. A snake/human, spider/human, and bird/human. They didn’t make them scary, but kids might not like it.

Overall I think it is great for all ages. Some of the content may not keep younger kids engaged as it is more serious, or “adult” in conversation and such, but once all of the cartoons are introduced, I think it will keep them entertained and having fun for sure.
