Summer is officially here! If your family is like ours, then you have a lot of traveling planned. My kids love the trips, especially the ones we take with their grandparents. We wanted to have a way to document the trips this summer that would be fun for them and easy, so we made a Summer Travel Memory Book to print out so that they could fill it out while we are traveling. I love how it turned out. I also love that we can capture pictures with my new ZTE ZMax phone and have them backup to our cloud drive so that we can print them out and put them in their book right away. It is so easy and my kids love that the pictures are ready to go so fast. The picture quality is great – I love how well the 16 MP camera works and the pictures are so clear!

Just print out the Summer Travel Memory Book and you can punch holes at the top and bottom and secure it with ribbons, rings, or even brads. I like the ribbon best so that is what I used. The pages fold about 2″ in and it leaves a flap on each page for extra room and a fun creative design. We are taking our first trip (a camping/fishing trip) soon and my kids can’t wait to get started on these. Documenting memories with their dad and mom, grandma and grandpa, and other family and friends will be almost as fun as taking the trip!

I love traveling and so does my family. It has been so much fun to go to so many amazing places together and I am so glad that we documented them so that we can go back and remember all of the trips we shared together. I will continue documenting the trips so that as my kids get older they have something to look back on as well. I want to share tips that will help make documenting your trips easier.

5 tips for documenting your trips

  1. Take a lot of pictures (phone or camera – just take them, and let your kids take pictures)
  2. Document your picture numbers in a notebook so you know where and when they were taken and any thoughts
  3. Keep a notebook and write down little things like quotes, sayings, funny moments and the date and time
  4. Keep a calender and write down all of your travels on the dates you are going (I also keep my travels on my calender on my phone)
  5. Get things from your kids’ point of view (have them write down or tell stories, record them talking)

Now is a great time to invest in a new phone. With summer just starting and your travel plans heating up, you will want a good affordable phone service and a nice phone so that you can use that extra money you are saving to pay for more fun and adventures. Walmart Family Mobile offers great plans that start at just $29.88/month (for the first line) Unlimited Talk, Text & Data service plan which includes up to 1G of 4G LTE data. While you are getting that awesome plan you can pick up the ZTE ZMax Phone which is packed with features like a 5.7″ HD touchscreen, microSD slot, Android 1.2 GHz Snapdragon and Quadcore processor and more!  All of your summer travel memories can be captured on this phone with the great 8 MP camera and it also records great videos! The expandable memory slot makes it so you can store even more without worrying about running out of space!

You can pick up the phone, get your phone plan, and everything else you need for a great vacation at Walmart! They have a great selection and the employees are nice to work with. When opening the compartments for the SIM card and MicroSD cards, you have to use a little pin that is provided. This was different as I haven’t done anything like this before, but it wasn’t hard. The back cover for the ZTE ZMax does not come off, but I love that they made it so that you could still have expandable memory.

Look for the Walmart Family Mobile section in the Walmart Electronics section. Buying, activation and getting the phone setup was pretty quick and I was excited about the phone. Now that I have been using it, I love the phone! The service plan has been very reliable and I love that it is all unlimited and the data is quick!
