I love music. I am always playing music, singing, dancing around with my kids and enjoying every minute of it. One thing I have always wanted was a way to connect my speakers so I could listen to the same music in more than one place – without having to buy specific speakers made for that. I recently got two Google Chromecast Audio kits from Best Buy and I couldn’t wait to set them up and see how well they work. I am so excited with the results!
It took me less than 10 minutes to setup both devices and I was able to make a “group” so that I could listen to the same thing from both of my speakers. I am able to connect to my Chromecast Audio through the Google Home app. It is similar to using a Google Chromecast. You cast your audio, and can play music from your phone, tablet or computer!
Google Chromecast Audio “rocks” my world
The biggest thing I love about the Chromecast Audio is that they use Wifi instead of Bluetooth. This means that I get a crystal clear sound all of the time without interruptions and interference. I am able to go anywhere in my house and even places outside and it still streams to the designated speaker(s) without issues. It is also easy to transfer from speaker to speaker. Just unplug the AUX cable and plug it into a different speaker. Keep in mind, these do have to be plugged into a power supply.
Since it is casting the audio from your phone to the speaker, you can use any app to play audio from your device. Apps like Pandora, Spotify, YouTube Music, and Google Play Music, as well as podcasts, radio stations and more! Find more at chromecast.com/apps. Add one of these Chromecast Audio devices in every room of your house for synchronous music throughout (great for when you are cleaning 😉 ).
Overall I am very happy with the Google Chromecast Audio. You can pick them up at Best Buy for a great price, and use them anywhere you have access to an AUX cable input and a power supply. It takes just a few seconds for me to get my audio streaming now as opposed to when I had to fight with the Bluetooth to connect. Be sure to pick a couple up and try them out. You won’t be disappointed!
