I have painted so much over the last 5 years that I really feel like I should be getting paid to do it by now, lol. In the past, I have tried many different kinds of painters tape – and not been real impressed with it because it would ALWAYS bleed! Today, I painted my kitchen and used the new Textured Surface by FrogTape with the awesome PaintBlock® Technology that kept the paint where it was supposed to be.
I was able to look at the FrogTape Textured Surface Board on Pinterest and get some great ideas for how we can finish painting our Kitchen. We applied one row of the FrogTape® and used a wet rag and ran it over the top of the tape after we applied it. By doing this – it pre-activates the PaintBlock® Technology.
Next we used the FrogTape® liquid that seals the edges of the tape so that when I paint it doesn’t sneak up under the edges of the tape that didn’t get pushed down all the way. All of the directions were on the bottle and very easy to follow. It gave clear descriptions of what it should look like so we knew what we were supposed to look for as we applied it.
As you can see – there is a “milky film” that is what sealed the tape. It took about 15 minutes to dry, so I did the larger parts of the wall with my roller while I waited for that to dry. Once it was dry, I took a paint brush and did the edges and the corners.
We painted over everything, and then waited about 1 hour and then started peeling the tape off. It says to wait until the paint is dry to the touch, and I felt like that was a good amount of time. As you can see in the picture below, how the tape came off and how amazing it looks! I was AMAZED at how good this works! I will honestly never used a different kind of painters tape again.

The Textured Surface by FrogTape painters tape is amazing and does exactly what it is supposed to. The paint did not bleed and the tape was easy to remove. I would recommend it to anyone who it painting. Anything. It is just that good.
