We recently celebrated my daughter’s 10th birthday and we had a Duck Tape Birthday Party. The girls had a great, fun time making their own Duck Tape Purses and they were so cute. The different designs and patterns were so much fun and the girls chose different colors and patterns to create their unique purses. It was definitely a success! As you may know, cutting Duck Tape or any sticky material can be a real hassle. The adhesive can stick to the blades, not only ruining the scissors, but also making it really hard to make a clean, precise cut. Luckily, we received the Fiskars Duck Edition Scissors in 5″ and Fiskars Duck Edition Scissors in 8″ to use at the party and let me tell you, they aren’t your average scissors!

The 8″ scissors are perfect for cutting long lengths and strips of tape. The Fiskars Duck Edition Scissors didn’t let the Duck Tape to stick to the blade. Not even a little bit! The non-stick surface allowed perfect, easy cuts and there wasn’t any adhesive residue left on the blade. This made the process of 10 girls cutting tape for their Duck Tape purses go smoothly and without a hitch. Now, when was the last time you heard “10 girls” and “go smoothly” in the same sentence? LOL!

The 5″ Fiskars Duck Edition Scissors have all of the same great qualities in a smaller size. These were ideal for little hands to be able to cut their own Duck Tape and feel independent and proud of themselves. Seeing the pride these girls had in their work was amazing. The 5″ scissors are just the right size for really tight patterns and those little details that need to be perfect. They get the job done; clean and precise but still easy to handle.

Both sizes have nice, large hoops on the handle, which make it easy to get a comfortable grip and control over the cutting. They were easier to handle then other scissors I have used during crafting. When Fiskars and Duck Tape teamed up to make these Fiskars Duck Edition Scissors, it was pure brilliance. They make working with any sticky material a breeze and that makes me feel inspired to come up with even more creative projects to do with my daughter and her friends which leads to quality time and precious memories.
