Elf on the Shelf Coloring Page

While the Elf on the Shelf is a fun tradition for the kids, it can be a bit tiring for the parents. So I wanted to share another one of the great Elf on the Shelf Ideas – doing a 2-day activity. For this, we printed off the Elf on the Shelf coloring page (see below) and then we left them with a note and crayons from our elf, Jingle, for the kids to find. They very happily colored their pages and left notes, and the next morning they found notes back, as well as a treat (we chose the Christmas tree cakes). This is really simple and doesn’t take much planning. You can use whatever treats you have on hand – or get some special ones.

Not only is this a great way to get them excited about their Elf on the Shelf friend, you can use this as a way to get the to write a letter to Santa and they can put things they want for Christmas, or talk about things that are happening and you can help them. I really enjoyed this and have kept my kids’ coloring pages as a memory for them and for me. You can even have them trace their hands on the side or back. If you don’t have an Elf on the Shelf, these are still fun to print out and have your kids color as part of their Christmas letters to Santa, friends, grandparents, etc.

The Elf on the Shelf Coloring Page also is great for school activities, church events etc where you need to fill in some time and let the kids have fun coloring a friendly face. This elf is based on the ones in the Elf on the Shelf movies on Netflix. They are a lot of fun. You can even print these off and have the kids color them as part of an Elf on the Shelf movie night.
