I don’t know about you, but it seems like my makeup bag is just about my kids’ favorite thing to play in! This means hours of fun for them, and unfortunantly no make-up for me. LOL! I am pretty good about getting makeup when its on sale and using coupons, so I don’t have a big out of pocket expense. I have plently in my stock pile, and even have used some of it to make little make up bags for my girls. Not only would these be great for your kiddos, but these would be awesome Graduation and Mother’s Day gifts! You can get inexpensive gift baskets (think thrift stores) and line them with tissue paper, and then fill them with Quality Makeup and Free Samples. It will look like it cost more than $7!
Here is how I made them for my girls. (All the same sales are not available, so I found some alternitives for you)
I used the Target Beauty Bags (from the free samples), and these are the items that I have put into them so far:
4-Color Pink Eye Shadow
4- Color Purple Eye Shadow
Blush
Pressed Powder
Pink LipGloss
Total Face Brush
Nail Polish (free with coupons at Rite-Aid or Walgreens)
Nail File (free with coupons at Rite-Aid or Walgreens)
Bracelets (took some form their stockpile they have accumulated)
Hair Ties (free with coupons at Rite-Aid or Walgreens)
Deodorant (free sample)
Body Spray (free from Wal-Mart with coupon)
Brush (from the dollar store)
The makeup items I got were from sales a while ago, but today at E.L.F. cosmetics you can get the cosmetics and brushes for only $1 each and you get FREE shipping with coupon promo code SHIPBEAUTY! (valid 4/10 only). If you miss that sale, you can use promo code TAXREFUND to get $10 off your $30 purchase (ends 4/16)!
These would also make great Graduation Gifts! You can get gift bags and fill them full of makeup and other stockpile items. What other items have you found that would be great in these?
Cheryl
That is cute.
