Christmas is one of our favorite times of the year. If is so much fun to decorate for and my kids are a great age where they love crafting and DIY projects. I hope they never grow out of it. We recently got a bunch of fun crafting supplies from the Oriental Trading Company and today I want to share one fo the many crafts we did with some of the supplies we got. This DIY Frames Christmas Crafts for Kids is something that kids of all ages will enjoy and it is fun as a parent or grandparent because you can keep the frames for years to come.

We used wood Frames, a Holiday Bag of Buttons, Christmas Tree Self-Adhesive Shapes, some silver and gold stars and some Christmas decorative tape that I had. First you will want to paint the frames. We had green, white and red paint to choose from. They could mix and match or just choose one. We only did the front, but you can do both sides. Just make sure that the edges (inside and out) get painted.

After it dries, you can let your kids (or yourself) decorate the frame with the trees, buttons, stars and whatever else you have on hand. I used hot glue to attach the buttons. My kids enjoyed drawing “family portraits” to put in their frames, but these would also make great gifts for grandparents and other family members, or even their teachers for Christmas!
