We just shared a fun DIY Frames Christmas Craft for Kids and today we are sharing another great craft you can do. We got so many great crafting supplies from the Oriental Trading Company  that we had a lot of fun making Christmas crafts together! We made a fun card/picture holder garland craft that I want to share with you. For this project, we used the Christmas Baker’s Twine, Mini Clothespins, Christmas Jingle Bell Charms, Christmas Cube Beads, the Christmas Tree Self-Adhesive Shapes, and some of the snowflakes from the Snowflake Jewel Assortment. You will also need a sewing needle for threading the twine into the beads, charms, and clothespins.

I took the twine and threaded it through a needle, this made threading the twine with the beads, jingle bells and clothes pins so much easier.  I started with a clothes pin (threading through the middle of the spring), then a bell, then a bead, then another bell before I added another clothes pin. I did this pattern for the entire length. I put the pieces all on, then tied a square bead on each end and then made a loop to use to hang the garland.

After I got the ends looped, I hooked one end on one of my chairs, and the other end on a different chair and hung it between them so I could work on fixing the beads and bells. I didn’t want them sliding around, so I used my hot glue gun and put a small dab of the hot glue on the twine and used that to secure either the bead or bell. I didn’t glue the clothespins because I still want them to be able to open and close.

After I got the beads and bells in place, I laid the garland out on my table and took the felt and some snowflakes that I had and alternated gluing them onto the clothespins Once I got them in place I went back and added the Snowflake jewels onto the white snowflakes. I love how they turned out! Colorful and Festive, yet simple and fun.

Once I got all the pieces glued in place, we were excited to hang it up and try it out.  My kids took their Santa Advent Calendars and hung them in some of the pins. We also made a couple of things and added a Christmas card. It looks great and is so much fun! My kids are having fun drawing/making pictures and doing other crafts to hang on it too.
