Piglet, Pooh, Rabbit, Roo, Kanga, Tigger and Eeyore in Disney’s live-action adventure CHRISTOPHER ROBIN.

Earlier this week I took my kids to a screening of Disney’s Christopher Robin movie –  their newest live-action adaptation about Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, Piglet and the rest of our friends from the Hundred Acre Wood. Tigger has always been my favorite, I have so much of his things that I have collected from over the years, and my kids love having it in their rooms now. When I initially told them about the movie, they were very excited and couldn’t wait to see it.

The beginning of the movie started with Christopher Robin as a young child, and it goes through a 5-minute “storybook” style of telling of him growing up and his life changes until he is married, with a daughter of his own. Christopher (played by Ewan McGregor) is busy with work, wrapped up in a bubble so to speak and losing touch with what is important in his life.

He is faced with a big decision at work, and in the middle of hiding from a neighbor he sits on a park bench to “think” and low and behold,  Winnie the Pooh is sitting on the other side. This starts an entire series of events that lead to life-changing decisions for not only Christopher Robin but his wife, daughter as well.

This movie truly stole my heart. It is packed with humor (especially Eeyore), and Ewan delivers another stellar performance that will just leave you full of feel goods and a reminder of what is really important in life.

Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore and Tigger relax at the beach in Disney’s CHRISTOPHER ROBIN.

In Disney’s heartwarming live-action adventure, the young boy who shared countless adventures with his stuffed animal friends in the Hundred Acre Wood has grown up and lost sight of what’s important in life. Now it is up to his childhood friends to venture into our world and help Christopher Robin rediscover the joys of family life, the value of friendship and to appreciate the simple pleasure in life once again.

CHRISTOPHER ROBIN is directed by Marc Forster from a screenplay by Alex Ross Perry and Allison Schroeder and a story by Perry based on characters created by A.A. Milne and E.H. Shepard. The producers are Brigham Taylor and Kristin Burr, with Renée Wolfe and Jeremy Johns serving as executive producers. The film stars Ewan McGregor as Christopher Robin; Hayley Atwell as his wife Evelyn; Bronte Carmichael as his daughter Madeline; and Mark Gatiss as Keith Winslow, Robin’s boss. The film also features the voices of: Jim Cummings as Winnie the Pooh and Tigger; Brad Garrett as Eeyore; Toby Jones as Owl; Nick Mohammed as Piglet; Peter Capaldi as Rabbit; and Sophie Okonedo as Kanga.

CHRISTOPHER ROBIN is now playing in theaters everywhere!
