We were able to take our kids and go to Disney on Ice Worlds of Fantasy last night at Energy Solutions Arena. It was a fun adventure. The show is still playing for a few more days (including tonight) so be sure to get your tickets and head out for a fun family adventure that they kids will love and you will enjoy as well.

The show started off with Mickey and his gang coming out. We always enjoy seeing Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy and I am glad that they continue to incorporate them into the shows.

The group was planning on going on a trip but their car stopped working so they went in search of help. While they were gone Mator, Lightening McQueen, and several others from the loved Cars movies came out and got it’s engine going again. All of my kids were entranced. They loved seeing the cars on the ice – it was VERY cool!

After Cars – we were able to catch up with Ariel – The Little Mermaid – and see her heartwarming story about getting “her human legs” and capturing Prince Eric’s heart forever. There were so many characters they incorporated here and I loved all of the special effects and costumes. We smiled and sang along to all of the songs and felt all of the emotions that Ariel felt. A great rendition of one of my favorites.

After Ariel had married her prince, we were able to get to enjoy the great tale of Tinkerbell. This also had great costumes with fun special effects and a lot of movement and action that kept the kids entertained. It told the whole story of how Tinkerbell came to be, how she almost destroyed the seasons and then was able to fix them again. She tried to become different kinds of fairies but had to learn to love who she was.

After these three shows there was a short intermission then we were full entertained by the whole story of Toy Story 3. It featured many of your favorite characters including Buzz, Woddy, Jesse, Slinky, Rex, The Green Army Men, Barbie, Ken, Lotso Bear, Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head, and many others. It is a great story – if you haven’t seen the movie you will want to watch it first so you have more background on the show (the same with any of the featured Disney on Ice shows).

Overall we really loved the show. It is a great experience for our kids and the Ice Skating was spectacular. Disney on Ice Worlds of Fantasy makes you feel like you have flown right into the story books of your favorite characters. You will truly enjoy the show.

From wheels to waves, playtime to pixie dust, your family’s favorite Disney moments come to life at Disney On Ice presents Worlds of Fantasy – Presented by YoKids, with dazzling skating, special effects and beloved characters certain to create a lifetime of memories. Thrill to high-speed stunts as Lightning McQueen, Mater and the crew of Disney/Pixar’sCars race across the ice.  Dive into The Little Mermaid’s enchanting undersea kingdom and enter the mystical world of Pixie Hollow with Tinker Bell and the Disney Fairies as they reveal the magic that lies within!  The toys are back in town with heroic action when Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Jessie, and the Toy Story gang escape from the rambunctious tots of Sunnyside Daycare and race for home, in their most daring adventure ever!

There are still several show for you to take your family to. You will enjoy this show as much as your kids. My son enjoyed this show much more than the others we have gone to because of Cars, as well as Toy Story. He knows the Fairies and the Mermaids well because of his sisters, but the Cars were his favorite. Be sure to take your family out for a night they will never forget!
