I like to think I am organized, but with four kids at home, it seems like nothing ever stays organized or put in the same place twice. I have tried so many things, and some have worked and some haven’t. I wanted to share some fun and creative ways to organize your closet. From toys, clothes, games, bathroom, coats and more you will be sure to find some helpful tips and tricks for Creative Ways to Organize your Closet.

Creative Ways to Organize your Closet

COAT CLOSET

Organize hats, gloves and scarfs with rails and drapery rings on the inside of your door.

Use two bars instead of one to utilize the space. We are doing this to our closet VERY soon. Would be great for all of the coats for our littles.

Use bins, baskets, and hanging baskets to keep items organized. I LOVE the shoe bin at the bottom of the closet. And to hang baskets for the gloves, scarfs, etc is awesome!

BATHROOM CLOSET

Add hanging baskets to the back of the door to hold all of your bottles. I love the baskets on the doors. I am going to install these in my bathroom VERY soon. Would free up so much shelf space and make it easier to find things.

Use organizer like totes, baskets and boxes to make the most out of a small space. I love the Towels and baskets. Such great ideas!

Install a new shelving system. I love the combination of bigger and smaller shelves with the hamper bin at the bottom. I want to put on of these in our bathroom (maybe a laundry chute…)

BEDROOM CLOSET

Hang multiple clothes in one spot with a pop can tab. If you don’t have the connectors this is a great ways to organize your clothes and save money.

Use shoe boxes to organize your shirts/pants. this would be great for the shelves of your closet. It shows them in drawers, but I think it would be perfect to use on shelves.

Make a space saving tie rack – would also be great for scarves. This is awesome and makes it easy to find the tie you want.

GAME CLOSET

Use tubs and label them to organize your game closet. I love the tubs. I think the labels are nice too. Makes it look fun and colorful.

Use labeled totes to put your board games in to keep them organized and aligned. This is something I am leaning towards. I love the totes with all the pieces. So much better.

A SIDE NOTE

If you find you have to many clothes, or only wear certain ones, turn your hangers in your closet backwards and when you put them back in, put them in the right way. After a year – take all of the clothes out that you didn’t wear. I am going to do this in my closet. It is perfect. A year will give you a chance to go through all of the seasons. Donate what you don’t wear to the shelters.
