I was able to watch Anaconda (2025) in order to write this Anaconda Parents Guide (2025). All opinions are my own.

I went to watch Anaconda with my family, and we all had a great time. The movie is a little goofy, and I felt like there was too much profanity, but overall, the movie was really funny, and I enjoyed it. There weren’t many intense/jump scare type moments, but they did a great job with the snake, making it realistic and more enjoyable. It was a bit more silly than I expected. I was hoping for a little bit more serious and scary, but given the cast, I am not surprised with how it turned out. It is definitely a fun watch, but don’t expect to get too invested in the characters or the movie. If you go in expecting a funny, silly movie, you will leave happy.

Anaconda (2025) is rated PG-13 for violence/action, strong language, some drug use, and suggestive references. It runs for 1 hr 34 min.

Some cool credits start rolling, so sit tight and watch these because there is one cut scene. When the normal credits start, you can head out. There is nothing else at the very end.

Sex & Nudity – 1/5

One of the main characters talks about her husband “banging” another woman.
No nudity is shown

Not really sex/nudity, but there is a several-minute-long scene where one of the characters gets bitten by a spider, and several other characters discuss peeing on him to help neutralize the venom. It does finally show one of them peeing on the other.

Violence & Gore – 3/5

If you have seen the first movie, you won’t be surprised by the violence in this movie. It is similar, but the horror is more comedic.
Snake caught in boat propeller. Shown getting chopped up and blood in the water. Later shown on a small raft getting set on fire.
A man is attacked in the water by a snake. Not much is shown, but some gurgling and a light disappearing.
A man who was eaten by a snake is regurgitated and shown close up. Very gross.
A snake is blown up by a flare gun. Pieces of it fly all over.
A character who was attacked by the snake is later found, and thought dead. He is used as “bait” by duct-taping a boar to his back and shoving a dead squirrel in his mouth.
There is fighting between characters, including knives, guns, and hand-to-hand combat.

1 full WTF, 1 cut-off WTF (during a short film showing, there are several bleeped F bombs. You can still see them mouthing them)

The song Baby Got Back is remixed, but played more than once. At the end, you can hear all the lyrics.

A man in a raft is attacked by a snake. Not much is shown, but the scene is a little intense.

Anaconda (2025) is a silly installment to the series. It is not meant to be a remake. And there are actually cameos by some of the original actors in the first Anaconda movie.
