monster jam 2013

When my kids found out that we were getting tickets to the Monster Jam 2013 show, they were so excited, I swear they asked me everyday when we were going. They remember going last year, and how fun it was and they couldn’t wait to go again!  The Monster Jam Truck Show 2013 in Salt Lake City at EnergySolutions Arena was awesome! Not only was there 9 different monster trucks, but also freestyle motorcycle stunts, and four wheeler races. It lasted for just over 2 hours and it was non-stop action except for the short intermission. I also loved that at the beginning of the show they recognized and honored all of those who serve/have served our county (from law enforcement to military). I would also like to express my thanks to them and their families, and may God bless them.

Monster Jam 2013 is their best show yet

The show got off to a great start with the Wheelie Competition. Grave Digger won this, and it was well deserved! It was fun to see the trucks flying through the air and jumping over the cars! They make it so easy to have a great time there. My kids (ages 1-8) all stayed entertained the whole time. They loved cheering for their favorite truck as well as joining in when the audience would boo the judges for a bad score, or cheer loud when there was a cool trick. We made sure to take special ear protection for our 1 year old, and they provided ear plugs for the other kids at customer service. This is a MUST! It gets very loud in there, which makes it all the more fun, but little ears need to be protected.

One of my favorite parts of the night was the freestyle motorcycle stunts. I haven’t seen this very often, and it was a real treat. I can’t believe how crazy people are, I would have a heart attack flying through the air let alone doing half the things they were. Here is a short video of a few of their awesome stunts:

Overall, we had a great time and it was something our whole family enjoyed. They kept you entertained between things with activities and other fun things. This is something our kids will remember and we are glad we had the opportunity to go!

The end of the show was the best part. We really like the freestyle event where the trucks can do whatever they want! Titan had a great run (and actually won first place), but Grave Digger was a close second! Here is a short video of his run, and it ends with a “bang!”.

Monster Jam 2013 is a great family show!

A huge thanks to Feld Entertainment for the tickets as well as the tickets for our giveaway winner from the contest a couple of weeks ago. Even though we were given tickets, this did not influence my opinion in any way and all thoughts are 100% my own.
